I did specify NO BID in the tournament rules, but wan always adjust for this in the second round if there is consensus.

I tried reinstalling tripleA a couple times and it didn’t upgrade from version 2.7 to 2.8. However, I was able to do it another way. Click the “download maps…” button that you see when you first open TripleA (third button up from the bottom on the right) and then choose “World War II Global” from the list and it will give you the version 2.8.
I am having problems getting 2.8. I don’t get anything after I hit download maps and list games. I guess that I need an url. I don’t see an option for World War II Global either. Is it possible for Veqryn to have a direct link to the 2.8 map so i can download the zip file and place in my maps folder? Is anyone else having problems?

No, sorry, the Global map is not part of the triplea-installation. You have to download this map separatly.

Garg, I was reading the tournament rules again, and it says that you are supposed to have at least one person you don’t know in real life on your team. My current teammate is my brother, so I happen to know him in real life…
I had forgotten this rule when I entered, and am just wondering if I have to find another teammate, or if an exception can be made.
Sorry to bring this up RIGHT before the tournament is supposed to start, but I thought I better point it out that technicly my team isn’t legal…

LOL this whole tournament is practically is an exception. :)
Purpose A of the tournament = fun, so CHECK MARK - you are ok there.
And purpose B of the tournament is to get new people playing games so CHECK MARK - you are good there
and purpose C of the tournament is to increase awareness about tripleA and get new players playing it here, so CHECK MARK - you are 100% there too!
I see no need to edit your team, or anything. You are good to go!

Um, I have a problem. My teammate, Minor Threat has vanished. At this point, I don’t have another teammate. Would I be able to play by myself, or hopefully someone else could jump in and save the day.

Start by yourself, and secure another teammate somewhere along the way.

Littleboot I think desertjournalist needs a teammate. Maybe you two could team up? I am playing desert first round he just needs a teammate and you two are axis.
