The folks on this forum who’ve customized their basement A&A bunkers and war rooms to give them a WWII feel – old radios, wartime posters and so forth – may get some extra inspiration from the item below. I like the part of the story which says that her only concession to the 21st century, a work-related smartphone, has an air raid siren as its ringtone. If Wittmann or Private Panic ever go visit her, a detailed report would be very interesting. :)

Joanna Francis is such a big fan of 1939 that she has decided to immerse herself in the experience permanently.
She has transformed her home in Lincolnshire and survives without modern conveniences.
Simon Spark went to meet her.
