Hi IL,
Just a short answer to your question, because this is kind of a bit off topic here.
Yes, the Roco world leaders are sold out on the link. I still own some spare copies of them, if any of you are really really interested… Production stopped in the seventies, because of the German leader figures that are in the set. Remember Roco is an Austrian firm?!?!?! moddeling an Adolf figure. Must have been a controverse. The set is still forbidden in Germany as is any figure of the man.
Now a short explanation on what else is on the picture:
The picture of Churchill inspecting the troops has French Infantry (AA Miniatures figure) standing on blue Chips in the back.
Next to it are 2 UK generals (AA miniatures figures).
In front of it is the regular UK infantry standing on yellow Chips (lacking tan Chips here!)
In front of the Sherman is a commando unit (1/72 commando figure) on yellow chips (meaning its British).
On the left there is a german infantry and Odemars German commander figure occupying Holland/Belgium.
Now back to topic, I like the fact that FMG is making infantry figures that look as if they are based on the 1/72 scale figures. The quality of these have considerably gone up in the last few years. Making a bigger round base is such a big improvement to either AA or the 1/72 sculpts. FMG hits HOME BASE!!!
FMG Combat Units allow me to get rid of a lot of non-matching miniatures in my Sitzkrieg game!
One more question to Jeremy:
Could FMG start a production line of Chips in various nation colours and a smaller diameter, creating more space on the board. If the chips are even 2 mm smaller in diameter, a couple of piles next to each other would save lots of space, also keeping in mind invading armies adding up to totals of more than 1 cm on the board. … Just thinking… when I am old and grey, FMG will have apeased all my miniature dreams thus me losing my desire to wage a boardgamewar and just eyeballing the pieces like this: :-o and
 did you see that Sparviero take down that hurricane?!?! :| was I dreaming?
