@aequitas-et-veritas @ssgen I should have flagged all of the old crew as well. Mobility means less on the smaller maps (AA50 even). Carrier manipulation is THE hallmark of G42/tournament play and all G40 variants. In my current game (G42/7 turns/221) against the relentless and indomitable MAPHEAD dave I have 5 Japanese carriers just to port all my planes around.
Question about aircraft attack from carriers

See the following situation.
It’s the American turn in a G40 variant where the Germans are allied with the French.
My question is: can the American aircraft in SZ 91 attack the German ships in SZ 111? It’s three spaces away so the only spot for them to land is in SZ 110 on a carrier, but there is an enemy destroyer there that needs to be killed. Does that combat-depending factor make this move illegal?
Note that there is no friendly naval base in SZ 91 so the American ships cannot go to SZ 119.

No, as for the purpose of pointing out a legal landing space during combat move phase you may assume that all your shots are hits and all the enemies’ shots are misses. So as long as the enemy destroyer is under whatever attack, the US move is legal.

Yep…
