I recommend to finish current games with 2.6 and then start new games with 2.7.
Also, yes, all players should have the latest version installed.
2.7 is still in pre-status however.
PBF Error Message

I am getting the following error trying to start up a PBF game. Marti registration and test were successful and all PBF fields have been double checked.

TrpleA PBF code still is not compatible with the newer/current forum software (NodeBB).

Yes. Just use Play by Email instead - and instead of sending emails just post the turn summary manually (copy/paste) and attach a manually created savegame.
You don’t need to setup the mail configuration.
