@barnee, I could do Chicago or Milwaukee, when quarantine shit is over,
North Carolina players

How far is that from Mayberry?
-
Or Mount Pilot?
-
“Mayberry” was modeled on Mount Airy, NC, and that is 2 1/2 hours away from Raleigh, north and west.
It is Pilot Mountain, and that is about 20 minutes south of Mt. Airy. There is a great B&B at the base of it, and it makes a wonderful backdrop for breakfast :-)
Both of them are in the Yadkin Valley wine growing area of the state (hence my familiarity with their location :-) )

How’s the moon shine in that part of the state?
-
Sadly, I do not know :|
-
My brother is in the area. He hasn’t been introduced to Axis and Allies in a substantive way yet. Contact me with a pm and I’ll let you know when I’m headed that way to visit him.

Ahhhh. Well they always called it Mt. Pilot in the show. I didn’t even know it was a real place.

It is a real place…

I’m in between the Jacksonville and Wilmington Area

Looking to play some A&A in the Raleigh area. Did you guys ever get anything started?
-
Looking for Charlotte area players - 1940 or 1914 (preferred).
-
You guys should consider driving to Nashville, TN for one of our events. Check us out at:

Hope to see you around sometime.

Old topic, but maybe someone from N. Carolina sees this. I’m in the Fayetteville, NC area looking for axis and allies players, preferably Global 1940.
-
Ichabod, you can drive to Nashville anytime you need a lesson in how to play Global. :-D
-
I still need lessons.

Hey there everyone. Looked for the introductions section and will look some more but I’m in the Coastal NC area and first played A&A back in '91. Played for many years and then joined the USMC. Haven’t played since…. looking to return to it but it seems table top games are a difficult thing to play. Currently only own the D-Day version but am looking to return to the '91 version or go down the path that is Global if I can find a group. I look forward to learning from you all and contributing where I can.
