Hi ltparrot73
In the customizations forum are heaps of community made files.
For instance see https://www.axisandallies.org/forums/index.php?topic=39696.0
Are there any game changing differences between the global gameboard 1st and 2nd edition?
Im not referring to rule changes, design and setup. But only change in territories and likewise. Meaning “Can I use the same gameboard so that I only have to download the new rulebook?”
Kind Regards

@SGT-Pitbull 2nd Ed. map merged Yukon Territory with British Columbia to Western Canada. You can definitely use the first edition gameboards to play second edition.
@Panther THX
@Panther Why doesnt it affect the start IPC Anzac/UK?
@SGT-Pitbull Yukon Territory had no IPC value, BC hat an IPC value of 1.
Western Canada on the 2nd ed. map. has an IPC value of 1. So the starting income for UK did not change.
@Panther why isnt that 1 up for the British and 1 down for Anzac?
@SGT-Pitbull Because of “the United Kingdom controls Western Canada in addition to those
territories with its own emblem” (Rulebook Pacific 1940.2, page 8).
Also (page 35): “For the moment, the United Kingdom (including Canada), ANZAC, France, and
China make up the Allies.”
So Canadian territories are controlled by UK and not by ANZAC.
(ANZAC stands for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps.)
Apart from the change that Panther mentioned there are a few more border corrections:
Not it doesn’t affect game play at all as in the rules and especially the FAQ the mentioned territories have always been adjacent and SZ 10 never connected to SZ 64. It’s mainly a cosmetic upgrade, but I just mention it here in case you weren’t aware these countries were adjacent.
Also, the border between sea zones 5 and 6 was corrected to line up with the border between Amur and Korea (also in the 1st edition FAQ).
OMG! :) Thx all for the replies. I didnt know there were that many differences. Gonna send the new 2nd edition gameboard for enlargement too then! ASAP!
