Yeah, new whatever… Its so new, could split this thread into 4 topics!

  • And with all the various things we’ve talked about, I see “war ringtones” advertisement with pics from Abu Ghraib.  WTF?

Ok, here’s something.  Rock Band just came out, and it is fun.  8-)

Great….now I got eBay, thank you.  Evil, vile company!  Funny those two words have the same letters!

  • well i for one have been recently into ‘Indian music’ Its really fascinating. Heres one video which is hard to turn my eyes away for some strange reason…

The girl is totally gorgeous even though i cant believe she is actually Indian…

The music is so positive and upbeat it almost presents the idea that India can produce some neat music.

  • Another thing im doing is playing serious Badminton which is my new favorite sport. I’m currently also an umpire for national IBF events and getting training to be both player and umpire for international badminton. I have been retired ( from work) for the last year or so and all my efforts go into this playing nearly every day and sometimes twice a day. I pattern my play to the style of Nathan Robertson who plays for the English national team. He partners with Gail Emms who is perhaps the best front court player after Gao lin from China.

Perhaps it is best explained by decades of British occupation.

Wow, that was so borderline racism… I’m liking it even better… Not the racism of course…

George Michael has a twin :-P

  • well i didn’t mean it to come out like that.

I meant she didn’t look ‘Indian’ as I am only attracted to European types, and her beauty is very characteristic of something you may find in the Balkans, even Turkey

See, and why do people assume that’s racist?  It’s very Darwinian actually, and psychologically proven that people seek out similar traits to their own in future mates.  But we’re lead, by peer pressure, to assume it’s racist not to be sexually attracted to non-similar humans.

Sorry, pet peeve of mine.  You can indoctrinate me that evolution is the way of things, then when I act on evolution, you call me racist. Kinda silly, really.

  • It’s very Darwinian actually,

In my sociology class my professor says that Darwinism fails when it comes to explaining society and human interaction. It was actually a big school of thought I believe but it died out; one of the reasons was because it’s using “shifting layers of abstraction” which means a theory that works for science doesn’t necessarily work for social interaction.

  • Well from the Cryptozoology files we have this:

No, no, that’s not cryptozoology - cryptids generally have no evidence except eye witness accounts.  It’s still pretty cool, though.

I remember hearing that a nearby lake had catfish “as big as Volkswagons” when I was a kid.  Ever since then, I’ve enjoyed reading about cryptozoology or unique/weird creatures.  Wish I could find the site I used to have bookmarked…

    I guess this is a start: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cryptid
