My US bomber in Olgiy was counting against the +3 NO for no other units in Russian territory, so I edited them in.

I think this is because the script that triggers the Mongolia rule makes Mongolia originally Russian territories, but they are only considered Russia-controlled.

Per the Pacific rulebook, Global section

Also, if Japan attacks >any Soviet-controlled territory that is adjacent to any Mongolian territory, all Mongolian territories that are still strict neutral or pro-Allies, or have joined the Allies as a result of a failed Japanese attack, will be placed under the control of the Soviet Union at the end of Japan’s Conduct Combat phase.

Good question, I thought the NO is worded as Original Russian territories, not Russia-controlled, for example if they take Finland or Iraq it would not count against them. I will ask in the general discussion forum for clarification and I’m sure we’ll have an answer before Russia spends those IPCs. If it is Russia controlled we will edit them back away

@nikola1975 Took me a while, I was sorely tempted to try and split going after that German fleet and still killing the Italian at the expense of much more navy…in the end decided against that. I skipped a couple of scrambles including the Big One in 99 with the Regia Marina…if you want to scramble, of course, we can re-roll the battle.

One of my games I lost the fleet early due to my own error, built mech/tank for a couple rounds to use to can-open the Caucasus. I think because of NOs a G1/G2 Russia attack is my favored strategy.

And using the Italians this way gives them some income away from convoy zones, if you’re getting enough for a couple infantry each round by this point in the game that’s usually enough for the Allies to skip trying to crack your capital. For a while, at least.
