Also, as someone who’s looking for new Allied strategies to test, how should I incorporate this into my personal game (I’m playing against myself). I don’t feel like reading almost 50 pages or testing 10 different openers.
In other words, how can I come up with one good Allied strategy for my planned Axis moves (doesn’t matter what they are, but I do know them) for one game only? Thank you!
@SuperbattleshipYamato I’d say that you probably should identify what your weakest aspect of your allied game, and after identifying it, perhaps skim through and find a part of the article you like to get those ideas. I ensure you that there are individual articles or sections of articles on every specific country in the allied camp, and there can be multiple of them. That is just my idea, but I haven’t read all the pages either :)
Phew. Glad I’m not the only one who didn’t. Always feels awkward when you’re the only one who didn’t read everything.
I’ll probably just do the first article’s ideas. They have my head full enough already. 👍👍

Took a look. I liked it. Not as much as Gibastion. Gibastion has the advantage of being anti-Sealion. However, if I saw a three plane purchase, I would give it a go! I think I would land the planes in Malta. Be a piece or two down and put the fear of God in them if they divided their navy. Does that make sense?
It would be too close without the planes in Alexandria.
I think I would skip 106 and send the destroyer to 92.

I´ve tried the gibastion before but then italy gets a good chance of taking the NO in the middle east (landing 2 tpt in syria). Or even egypt on I2.
Plus you can´t unite the UK fleet with the Pac fleet.
My goal is to built and hold a minor in egypt UK1.
The gibastion is vulnerable too bc you need to stack Algeria to prevent italy from taking it.
In my plan you need the UK fightrrs on Alexandria to pair up with the Italian troops in Tobruk plus their airforce. If you land them at Malta they get a fair chance of destroying alexandria.

I also think a factory in Egypt on UK1 would trigger Sealion assuming average dice rolls on first turn. If the money isn’t being spent in London, the Axis needs to punish the bold/foolish decision.

Not doing taranto keeps 2 extra fighters on London. A buy of 5 inf there (plus the minor) is even strenger than the 6ind and fighter standard by.
The opening is not as aggresive as taranto but consolidates the forces for a strike on UK2 or 3.
@Cornwallis so many questions? In the video, you did not appear to be English. So why Cornwallis?
Seriously though, I don’t know why I have to garrison Algeria, Algerian snake? German planes land there. There’s an effect to all of that. The loss of a substantial part of the German Air Force. The more likely scenario is a one two with the Italian navy taking the lead. This inadvertently saves Egypt.
As I said I will be giving it a try, minus 106.

I wonder if you have a WAG as to how often things go wrong. Could you elaborate? If you mean dice rolls, could we consider this like Paris for the Germans? Every time that happens, everyone seems fine with a restart! No harm, no foul.
What bid items would entice you to do Gibastion? I consider it analogous to Malaya for the Japanese! A nice forking move. But I am open to change. And operation ricochet is all about surviving to turn 5.
@crockett36 at the very least, I like having a Scottish fighter to keep one of the UK fleets alive. An extra art in Africa goes a long way to destroying the Italians in the horn. Finally, an extra UK Sub or two is invaluable in cleaning up the sea zones on UK1. Hence 20-26 PU bid spent for UK sets the up well for doing Gibastion.
I think the oob side of this site ought to reset zero to the bid of the previous year’s tournament champion. Who’s with me?

I have a question that pertains to the 20 Russian Units in the East, if someone would care to answer or help me figure this out. @AndrewAAGamer declared in one of the articles in the PDF I made that the best option was to keep all of the units in the east, and I agree, but what I am having trouble with is understanding how to position them, like should I stack all in Amur(which I have seen fail) or pull some back to Buryatia.
I was hoping someone could recommend how to position these troops on R1 and what to do with them from then on as I plan for them to stay in the east
Also side note should they receive some support in terms of tanks, artillery, or planes/bombers from Moscow, or should I leave them with what they have.

I’ll take a crack and have my betters correct it.
The 20 Russia units are a live front. They pin a certain amount of units in the north. So the objective is to keep them alive long enough that the air planes will be out of position ie needed in the south or the east. Then they surge forward and capture Korea or Manchuria. So stepping back one territory is a simple move to complicate Japan’s ambitions. How did I do, teachers?
So the league runs throughout the year. There is a bracketed playoff. There is no mandatory requirements for participation except agreement on terms. (low luck, bid, etc) I say we change that and say that a fifty bid is the starting place for all games that want to qualify for the oob bracketed tournament at the end of the year. Now from there the players can go up or down on the bid.
Next level would be taking the Champions’ bid and applying that as zero. Therefore, you could have a negative bid or a bid for the Axis.
