Bombardment got a hit in Egypt (your coastal barrage got 2 of my INF). German INF dead OK?
@The_Good_Captain Also OOL for Egypt in general, if you have it.
@domanmacgee I’m not sure - need to see how bad/good the USA roll is.
@the_good_captain TripleA wants a casualty selection for Bombardment before resolving the rest of combat but I can’t find anything in the rules that mandate that you need to select the casualty before the rest of my attacking units fire. I’m just going to tentatively select the German INF and do the rest of my roll. If you want the German INF alive after the dust settles we’ll just fix it in edit.
@The_Good_Captain LMK if that’s good for you and I’ll pull the trigger on the attack.
@domanmacgee its good. roll on.

RIP Russia. I’m not sure how Allied units marooned in the now-USSR work, but we’ll deal with that on my next round (unless you wanna deal with it now, since it may impact your German moves).1914-game-4-ussr7.tsvg
@The_Good_Captain Hang on, missed some stuff when cleaning out the Russians. Use this save instead (if you want to decline the Revolution for whatever reason, LMK and I can put things back).1914-game-4-ussr7.tsvg
@domanmacgee from the FAQ:
The second and third sentences of the second paragraph should read “As a consequence of this, an armistice is immediately offered to the Central Powers. If this armistice is declined by any of the Central Powers players, it does not occur, and the game continues as normal, with no change in the operations of Russia as a power (the revolution can only occur once per game).
from the official Q&A:
Q.
The Russian revolution - How are allied units inside Russia dealt with?
A.
Other Allied powers may no longer move units into original Russian territories that are either controlled by Russia or shared between Russia and the Central Powers. Any such units remaining in those territories at the end of their next respective turn will be removed from the board at that time.
Q.
Can the Allies still attack Original Russian territory if it is held by the Central Powers
A.
Only those Allied units in original Russian territories at the time of the Revolution may do so, as further units may not enter those territories. Of course, units that spend their one turn of remaining life attacking will not get out.
It might be best/most thorough to finish the Russian turn normally and post announcing that an armistice is offered. If CP accept, I will adjust the board on Germany’s turn.
@domanmacgee I tried putting it back to something like normal but am having trouble getting the AI to recognize that Russia is an active player. In a test game, I EDITED everything back in but the AI ignored the Russian units on Moscow and even when a Russian territory was captured, it wouldn’t “turn” German. If you can’t get it back to normal, let me know - I have an idea to just make all the enemy British so at least the battles get fought correctly. At this moment, I don’t think I’m going to accept an armistice for the CP.
@the_good_captain Sorry, I assumed you would accept because of our past games. Here’s the saves with/without RR for comparison:
No RR:
1914-game-4-r7-no-revo.tsvg
I guess just keep in mind that if you deny the RR then the surrender offer won’t occur again.
One bit of the FAQ confuses me, particularly:
Any such units remaining in those territories at the end of their next respective turn will be removed from the board at that time.
Does that mean that a unit can’t end the turn on the same territory it started the turn in, or that it can’t end the turn on any Soviet territory?
Does that mean that a unit can’t end the turn on the same territory it started the turn in, or that it can’t end the turn on any Soviet territory?
Both is my understanding. They have to attack into CP controlled territories or be sealifted out. My understanding is they have until the end of their next turn to be out of what’s left of the Russian territories.
Still having the same trouble using your RR file. Germany is not allowed to attack Russian territories and even if I change ownership of the territories in question, Russian units are ignored in the battle. If I decide to have the CP fight on, what I’ll do is start the game from the last AH turn and skip through the Russian turn but make all the necessary edits. I guess once you flip Russia to that bright red contested status, there’s no going back.
