@barnee Barnee - thanks. The way you laid it out is the way we have been playing our games but I wanted to confirm as it wasn’t crystal clear in my head anyway.

As soon as I get my pc system installed - and TripleA downloaded, we can take a test game together.
Both the G40 and G43.
This might give us a better overview of bugs etc.
Sweet ! 2 sets of eyes is 3 times better than 1 lol

Raeder got a nice Fleet going
Needs a Destroyer
Maybe go big with the Bismark. Idk. Probably better to get Infantry to send against those commie russian bastards
-
Nice! I totally agree with your suggestions!

Some of the game results from the Axis & Allies Northern Europe Wiking-Con event will be posted here in the Game Report Thread.
The first one is here:
Global 1940, No. 3 Game Report:
This Global 1940 Game Report includes the complete Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion.
Players:
Axis: Cornelis Post
Allies: The CaptainEarly 1940 - Early 1943:
Germany builds up massive Panzer forces - and increases the U-boat production for the Battle of The Atlantic.
The attack on the Soviet Union is launched in Late 1941.Japan attacks Philippines in Late 1940 - triggering a State Of War between all Nations - except Soviet Union.
The Allies are producing at full capacity, trying to slow down the Axis advance into Asia, the Pacific, Africa and Russia.
Late 1943:
The German advance into the Soviet Union is halted by heavily defended Soviet lines.
Germany takes over Italy. The Japanese advance into China is halted - Japan has spend most of it’s forces in the Pacific - fighting against increasing Allied forces.
India & China is fighting deep into Chinese territory - trying to push back the Japanese forces.
Early 1944 - Early 1945:
The German Wehrmacht, Waffen-SS, Luftwaffe & Kriegsmarine are all on the defensive. The Soviet Union is on the offensive - using Paratrooper unkits to attack deep into the German Hinterland - and thereby increasing the Soviet economy on a massive scale.
Soviet Tank production reaches it’s peak in Late 1944 - more than 75 Soviet Tank units are fighting on the German Eastern Front - building up for the last offensive on the German Reichshauptstadt Berlin.
Japan is being pushed back in China - and the Japanese defense in the Pacific has simply collapsed under the pressure from US & ANZAC units.
The Final Allied Victory is a fact in Early 1945.
With an IPC income level at 207 IPC, The Allies have won an Economic Victory.
Pictures from the start of Early 1945:

Once again, The Captain wins!
I knew attacking earlier as the Axis was a bad idea! At least all of Germany’s armies are still intact-not having all of them would be a disaster.
-
Heh heh pretty fun one going. Every time I think it’s game over, just play it out, look for triplea errors, the down team seems to rally lol
Granted this is only game 18 and i play against myself ( who isn’t a top player lol ) but it sure has some twists and turns. I’ve noticed this in the majority of games that went the distance.
Here in Early 43 JPN russia in a bad way.
By Late 44, even though the Wehrmacht forced a retreat to moscow, JPN Army has been pushed back on multiple fronts.
Anyway, we’ll see what happens, got 1 bug to fix ( PG Tac doesn’t get support by FTR ) but Should be done in a couple more days. Kriegsmarine went big with Carrier
So that probably slowed attack on the commies a bit. Patton did battle and he and Rommel both got slayed. Brits can reinforce russia now.
It seems a little weird, but I assume it’s correct, 2 INF from S AFR can RR to Yakut as long as there’s no interruption ?
Anyway, having fun
-
@the-captain In the Philippines photo above, there’s 1 blue plane, assume Naval FTR, a buncha silver ones, regular Ftrs, as some are on land and a P-38. Is that right ? If so, what’s the Pursuit 38 doing ? Yamamoto kill mission ? lol

Great game,
Yes - UK can send 2 Land Based units from South Africa into any territory in Asia, as long as there is a unbroken line of adjacent friendly territories from where the Land Based units begin and end their move.
-
@the-captain awesome. Russians and Englishman are best buddies now lol
-
We mostly see UK Tank units use Strategic Rail Movement into Soviet territories - as part of Lend-Lease.
When Germany or Italy attack the Soviet Union, UK has the option to send Lend-Lease Tank units by rail - in case that the United States are not ready to do so in time.
-
@the-captain sweet ! I hadn’t figured that one out yet : ) Right :muscle:
gonna be a big air battle coming up. Been some small ones but no ftr defense. Germany got 3 Bmbrs 3 FTRs and 2 Tacs, Soviets got 3 FTRs and a USA and UK FTR flying in. They’re down to 27 bucks, so I’m gonna roll those 5 4s and see what happens. Got a few Ftrs in the pipeline.
Actually, i just wanna do it. Be the first air battle : )
-
For that last question, yes. What does “PH tac” mean? Thank you! I feel so sad for the Japanese. The Soviets should sent all units to Belarus, that’ll be one exciting battle.
-
Did Churchill get replaced, or did he have a massive change of heart?
-
Only air units (hopefully) in a conventional battle? Exciting!
-
I’m unsure what you are referring to.
-
@barnee
Last time I saw an Air Battle, was in Global 1943, when Western Germany defended with 5 Me 262 Jetfighter units against 3 US Strategic Bombers and 6 US Fighters. The only surviving unit was 1 US Strategic Bomber - that made a Damage Hit at “1”.
Since then, all Allied Strategic Bombing Campaigns have stopped - unless there has been a unprotected Industrial Complex in range.
-
Epic!

:joy:
-
@the-captain Haha, I like how you tell the story as if it were a legend or something :joy: :joy:
-
JPN being pushed back
The Reich needs to retreat. 28 T-34s in moscow aint looking good for the Wehrmacht lol
We’ll see if the axis can get there shit together lol.
Oh yea, N Africa Allied controlled. Brits headed to russia now
