Concerning the Soviet Union Strategic Plan:

In the same round as Germany captures Smolensk or Bryansk, the Soviet player should purchase a Flak Tower unit in Russia (Moscow).

If the German Army launches Operation Typhoon, the Soviet Flak Tower unit can absorb multiple hits - and can defend heavily against all enemy Air units that take part in the attack.

I have created an Axis & Allies variant inspired by the simultaneity mechanics of Diplomacy.  It is an online game with all the game state stored in the server, so the players use a simple web browser to play.  The manner of play I envision is each player or possibly each team uses a physical board to track the game, and the online game provides the interface to create orders for the units, shows the outcome of conflicts, and provides an interface to execute and settle multi-unit battles.  Having a physical board and pieces isn’t necessary, as the game is tracked on the server, but I expect it is more fun to play along with physical units.  The current user interface is crude, but I think it’s sophisticated enough to be effective.  I’m looking for someone to help me play-test the game and provide feedback.  I will likely create a new user interface to overlay the existing system, but I need to actually play it a bit with a real opponent to know what direction to go with that.  If you are interested, you can read the docs here:

Russia can build a M-F

Cost
an white truck at the cost of 12 IPC
it funtions as a factory
factory of 2

Deploy
you can deploy the M-F only next to a different Factory
or conferd an minor factory into a Mobile factory for free

Actions
it can either move or deploy and build units
you can only move controlled areas.

you can produce up to 2 units from this factory
or
move your the truck up to 2 spaces trough controlled area

Strategic and tactical bombing raids

boming the M-F can only be done with a Stratic bombing raid
a M-F can get a total of 4 damage
if it gets 5 damage it is destroyed

Not a fighting unit,
it can not partipate in any other way in combat

Transport
the M-F occupy an entire Transport
and cannot build units when its not on main land
and there for cannot build when stationed on a island

Conquering Territory
if a enemy force gain control of the land area a M-F is currently in,That enemy takes control of the M-F.

Multiple Facilitys on the same territory
if a Mayor or Minor factoy is in the same space as the M-F you can use only 1

Here are my house rule suggestions for economic balance in Global…. it’s not much, but that’s the point.

#1. The $5 Russian National Objective for no axis ships in the Norwegian convoy zone #125, control of Archangel, and no allied units on originally owned Russian territories has now been modified and split into 2 different National Objectives for Russia.

Lend Lease

$5 National Objective for no Axis ships in the Norwegian convoy zone #125, and for control of Archangel.

National Prestige

$5 National Objective for at least 1 Russian warship on the board, and no Allied units on any originally owned Russian territories

#2. Two significant National Objectives that were dropped after Alpha +3 have now been reinstated.

Merchant Shipping Protected
#1. 5 IPCs for the United Kingdom if the Atlantic is free of German submarines.

Germany controls London
#2. 5 IPCs for Germany if they control London.

#3. When the United States declare war, they are automatically given the War Bonds technology for free.

Is this giving to much to the Allies?

The game starts in june 1940, so germany would attack russia on G2, and japan would attack on J3.

(the map reflects the situation in june 1940, low countries are defeated but paris has not been taken yet)

Some ideas:

As I’ve suggested before, a fighter that scores a kill is promoted to an Ace (rolls @3).

Air combat lasts a maximum of 3 rounds, perhaps only 2. Aircraft had very limited fuel capacities.

If, at the end of this time, both sides have fighters remaining then no side gets air supremacy. All planes must land with their ground units, and cannot strafe.

Fighters can pull out of dogfights after any round of combat, attackers choosing first. Planes simply land with their own troops. They cannot fire in the ground combat, but can be taken as casualties.

Only rolls of 1 actually destroy an enemy aircraft. Rolls of 2 (or 3 from Aces) only “force down” the rival fighter, which must land as per pulling out of a fight.

If there is any dispute over which plane shot down an enemy fighter and gets the promotion, a “kill” takes precedence over a “down”. Otherwise, if the owning players cannot agree, then nobody gets the credit.

Multiple mixed fighters should roll individual dice in combat; its handy to have a few dice of different colours to facilitate this.
