Man, that was a dicey and risky G1 :-)
And you are right, it was a give and take. But given the heavy losses you took at France, I admit, I am content with the results. Id you’d ask me to reroll the G1 or to stick with the given dice, I would stick with these dice.
I am currently working with this G1 opening and i am fine with it for now.

Frankly, this looks too risky to me, 110 can be game ending if it goes wrong. Normandy is risky, UK could take back in the first round.
Also you dilute the France attack with the consequences you faced this turn.
I mean, it is ok to take risks in case you believe you need some luck to win a game but I would not recommend to make this the default.
