  • Germans think that those Russian artilleries are pretty scary, so I better built more mechs now while I can…. I can build planes later and they can catch with my front fast

    India capture was a bit costly… lost 5 planes, but still worth the effort… India was somehow stronger compared to OOB (+6 IPC extra = 2 extra inf per turn) so I was worried that together with a weaker Japanese economy Japan would have hard times conquering it… really bad luck you failed to capture Yunnan in previous turn…


  • so far I like the changes…. I actually like the Russian super artilleries, I think it is good for game dynamics if Russia is given an offensive bonus without increasing their defensive strength much… for example Russia were given just extra IPC then they might just invest it all into infantry and turtle even more… with boosting Russian offensive instead, Russia cannot really turtle much stronger than it is used to in OOB rules, so Germany still has a chance conquering it. But it takes just a little misstep on eastern front and those super artilleries can potentially start pushing Germans back especially if Germans would be busy on both fronts…

  • I first thought that DD’s shall be reduced in price, since their usage as blockers is not that useful anymore… but at price 7 they are just 1 IPC more expensive than the subs… so at least for Japan, I would hardly buy subs if DD’s are so cheap… in J4 I even proffered to send a DD to kill anzac TT as DD has better chance to actually hit back on defense.  Also if DD’s are priced at 8 it is more likely to see cruisers being purchased.

    So starting from turn 5, my suggestion would be to bring DDs back to their original cost: 7 IPC for the US and 8 IPC for everyone else. What do you think?

    I agree. 7 is too cheap. Did you set the Cruiser price for the US, as 10 is probably still cheap. 9 seems a steal!


  • ok so from turn 5 DDs are back to regular price, your last chance to buy discounted DDs then.

    As for cruisers, 9 is an OOB price for cruisers with shipyards…. I was also surprised that OOB rules make cruiser price to drop from 12 to 9. I would say lets leave it like this for now… we can adjust later if found overpowered
