War Bonds
-
Im looking for images of war bonds to use in the game for the tech development “War Bonds”. I can find certificates of old war bonds online but cannot find any for United Kingdom. Does anyone know what that is?
-
There’s a picture of one in the article below. In Britain, war bonds were called “war loans”.

Thanks Marc!

I designed these War bonds from actual bonds and placed a roundel logo in the back layer to make it easy to identify. All these bonds print a 6x4 inch card. I laminated mine but they don’t need to be. We use these for War bonds if a country rolls the technology.

Great work!

Great work, Cyanight! These look terrific. The French bond and the American bond are an interesting contrast: the French one pitches itself entirely on an emotional level (the title translates as “Solidarity bond for the benefit of the civilian populations afflicted by the war and of prisonners”) while giving no financial details other than its value, while the American one reads like an investment contract (complete with a table of redemption values by year) and only uses the word “war” once, way down at the bottom.

It seems clear which style is more effective. :-D
(Just kidding, but who doesn’t enjoy the occasional dig at the French?)
