Looking good. Nice job.

OK here’s the complete set (and also how I spent the entire weekend :|)….
United states…
United Kingdom…
USSR…
Japan….
Italy…
Germany…
I had to get creative with some of the names for German, Italian, and Russian carriers, as they had none in operation during the war. (mostly used that country’s heroes or famous battles) The Italian Amedeo and the German Graf Zeppelin and Peter Strasser were actually either partially completed or on the drawing board. The other nations’ carrier names are all historical.
If anybody tries this I recommend you print one sticker first for each nation to see if you like it or you will waste a lot of ink.

sounds like a great weekend too me! these all look awesome and exciting to get out on the board! what did you use for those Russian carriers? and the Italian carriers, looks like you didn’t use the second edition aquilas? all very nice, some painted planes would look sweet on those decks!

The first time I saw this post I started googling the Russian carrier names because I thought I missed something. Very inventive names for those Russian CV’s ;)

Here’s a good historical source:

I got the carriers from HBG. All my Italian units have been painted “celery” color to distinguish them better from the russians. Well, now my carriers are too shiny after the 4 coats of polyurethane so the next job is a flat coat.
Glad you guys like them!

I love the names on the carriers. My old carriers looked similar but with only one roundel and no names. I since changed my carriers and made them unique. I hope to have mine finished tonight but we shall see. I love having the uniqueness of pieces and battleships and carriers are the first place to start.
Thanks for sharing

I made these 5 carriers from Pearl Harbor Akagi, Kaga, Soryu, Hiryu and Zuikaku. I didn’t include the Shokaku because like the Shinano its a bland looking carrier. Strange that we used the Shinano sculpt but chose not to name or represent it, lol.
I posted the process I used and other pics in a different thread.
