@Noble:
I love that you touch your pinky to your other hand. I do the same when painting and it’s the best way to stay steady. Keep up the great work!
LOL, that’s funny you noticed! Thanks for the comment!
I just finished painting HBGs latest set. Im posting some pics here to see. If any of you has any pics of this set, feel free to post. I purchased 10 sets, but I only had decals for a few pieces. Hope I get my decals in mail soon.
First 2 pics are the ME-110 with 4 different camo patterns.
Me-262
Ju-52
Do-17 and the Ju-488.
Just outstanding George, I really appreciate all you guys that have the skill and patience to paint these pieces. I laugh because I helped my 6 year old finish his General Lee model and about pulled all my hair out doing it. And yes, like always, I got glue on the damn plastic windshield, looks like crap.
Well done!
Very Nice!
Awesome! Great shade choices and your windows make me expect pilots to wave from inside! :-D
I painted a few more this past weekend.
A few more units
I also painted some Ju-87s ,
And some Ju-88s
Very nice painting job! A lot of details!
I’m just a little bit wondering about the HBG set: there is a Ju-488? This is an experimental aeroplane (V-version) which was never produced in series (i.e. A-version) as far as I know. I would like to have other -much more important- bomber types instead, for example the Heinkel He 177 or the Arado Ar 234. Of cause, the Ju-488 is looking awesome, but I think the He-177 would do so, too.
Great work. One of the things I always find intriguing about painted pieces is how (to my eyes anyway) they seem to look bigger than unpainted ones. I don’t know if I’m the only person who runs into this optical illusion.

I’ve not noticed that myself, but then again I don’t usually have painted and unpainted beside each other. Or you could just be crazy! ;)
OP : Nice job … Using decals for the emblems is definately the way to go imo. It’s just not feasable to try and do that many tiny straight lines for the most part. I know that I had a lot of trouble trying to freehand iron crosses (and get them all to look “right”), let alone any of the other national symbols.
Where did all those miniature decals come from?
I bought them a while back from I-94 enterprizes.
I finished the rest of the set
