Axis & Allies Quiz
-
The picture clearly shows GLOBAL, and then asks if the game starts in 1942.
Whoever wrote this test clearly doesn’t know how axis and allies -works-.
-
I was in A&A wilderness for a while and do not own revised or 42 and hate getting things wrong, so will give it a miss.
I do love quizzes and I am bloody clever, so might take it…. And lie about my score!
… I got 20 out of 20.
I hate a liar.

19/20… That specific unit question was not well worded. Obviously the US/British armor unit is an M4 Sherman tank, etc… Apparently not what they were looking for.
And I am not sure what B-17s being in Memphis Belle is of any consequence regarding Axis and Allies, but whatever.
-
The same question got me. Especially because I believe the word they used was modelled… and anyone who plays axis and allies uses the word units, whilst NOT refering to actually military units (groups).

Exactly.
Whoever wrote the quiz is a hack.

I looked for somewhere to complain, about the BOZO who wrote the quiz - because he wrote it on drugs - and has limited knowledge of the game (hence his reaching questions).
But there is no where to drop feedback? WTH?
I want to find this person in real life, and beat them with my anniversary edition box, until it’s decorated with their blood.

A little much… no?

Blood on a special edition map shows extreme dedication. I endorse this message.

I pulled off an 18/20 getting the questions about A&A being published by a small indie game company wrong and the question about the allies being able to launch a joint strike wrong (I swear that’s a rule in A&A revised!).
The B-17 thing I just figured, all the pieces are supposed to be based on some historical unit, lucky guess for me :-D

(I swear that’s a rule in A&A revised!).
Actually, in the ORIGINAL Nova Games version, the allies all went at the same time.
Again, this person needs to be converted into a corpse. What insults!

Sometimes excessive violence - is the immediate and ONLY answer.
Such is the case in this situation…

In keeping with the spirit of the game, he should probably just be shot. For crimes against the State.

That was pretty funny.

Indeed a lot of ambiguous questions. Still scored ok though :)

I always cover my maps with plexiglass for protection during really serious games.
-
I cover mine in Red wine. Works almost as well!
-
It’s hard to quiz on the rules, since there are some many official versions as well as optional rules.
For example, National Advantages made unit capabilities differ by countries (one of the quiz questions)
-
17/20 I miss understood what they were asking in the 3 I got wrong and guessed right on 3 others that was kind of hard to understand what they were asking. Again it’s hard to ask about rules when there’s been so many games and rules sets.
