@SuperbattleshipYamato I fixed it now! :) Should be good to go!
Re: Field Marshal Games Pieces Project Discussion thread

Spain and Brazil had decent navy, and army and airforce
Sweden had good tanks and planes
Turkey had a full army, and air force…id give them a ship
nobody else had much beyond army.
I can repost the AARHE neutral army setup charts that are based on OOB for 1941 conversion. just look at the file.

This is a question for Imperios Leader, Does Larry Harris take suggestions on game design? It sounds like you have good ideas for games, ie. game rules and suggested pieces, and your gameboards look better.
-
Yes indeed. he takes many ideas that many of us have offered. Just look at the trends in these games. They are getting more historical and the map is getting larger and larger and more pieces show up, neutrals start appearing and things are looking better.
-
Yeah.
See, this is how a Free Market Economy ought to be: consumers actively taking part in the design and prodction of the products. Cheers for the internet.

Should allies of the US have a sculpt for a generic transport, and Sherman tanks and basic arty as a potential lend-lease participant? Could the US be configured in a variation where they actually have turns (pre 1941) where they start giving equipment away at some reduced IPC value (e.g. pre 1941 the US only generates 24 IPC of war materials and on their turn they are placed on the US East Coast in the allied players color for their use)? I think this could have a lot of entertainment value.

Nice one Dino. I like that.

I’d like each nation to have a seperate Heavy Bomber sculpt. Maybe it would be released in a Technology Expansion.
I’d like the US to have both B-17s and B-29s.
-
yea all technology pieces should be represented. Heavy bomber, super subs, heavy tanks, rockets, radar, etc.
-
Radar? How? Have radar dish pieces built in each territory?
-
yea. radar dish with flak gun.

Yeah, I agree and that’s probably where I’ll be doing some sculpting of my own. For example, if the US achieves long range aircraft you can swap the F6F Hellcats for P-38s or P-51s. In some cases though a new sculpt for a tech isn’t needed. If the Japanese achieve long range aircraft there is no need to update the zeros. Zeros are already long range!
Tech pieces, where appropriate, should account for combinations as well. For example, if the Germans achieve long range aircraft the ME 109s become Do 335s. If the Germans achieve jet fighters they get Me 262s. If they achieve both long range aircraft and jet fighters they get Ho 229s. I’ve actually already completed the models for the German aircraft and P-51s.

Do you have a pic of your Aircraft?

I don’t want to hijack this thread so I started a new one called ‘Tech Pieces’.
-
Good job, WOPR.
hey, FMG, since you got a new fancy graphics designer guy, how about this:
The F-86 Saber was origionally planned to have the same wing design as the P-51, only with a big central jet engine. However, when they discovered Germany’s sweaped wing, they changed it.
Perhaps for a tech piece for the US, you could make an alternate historical Jet Mustang? That would really be one of a kind.
-
How about a B-36 Peacemaker.
The U.S. thought Britain was going to fall so they needed a Bomber that could take off from the U.S. mainland, bomb Germany and fly back home.

I would prefer to stick with tech items that were actually built during WWII. I would include proto-types in this definition. If a country cannot met this qualification if they had at least one test trial. If a country could not meet this requirement, we could do one of two option.
1. They could use a proto type design that was closest to having a proto type built.
2. They use an allies tech unit.
One thing I’m not in favor of is jets using Long Range technology. No jet simply could not match a long range prop aircraft.
-
Ok, what about the British super heavy tank……“Tortoise”

Everybody’s list of desired units is going to be different. If you find your favorite piece missing from FMGs set and don’t know where to turn, I’ll sculpt it for you.

Well in A&A it’s possible to achieve long range and jet aircraft so if we’re talking about tech molds there should be a dedicated mold to represent that tech. Personally, I wouldn’t want to have a prop aircraft representing a jet on my board.

What do you charge to sculpt a AAA figure,?
