I just finnished a german map (with more historical borders than the OOB map) of Anniversary. Hope you like it.

Some remarks after a quick view:

I would say “Italienisch Afrika” rather than “Italienisches Afrika”
“Yukut SSR” is a typo? Why note use “Jakutische ASSR” = “Jakutische Autonome Sozialistische Sowjetrepublik”?

Thanks, I did only use microsoft paint. (Same with my beloved WW1 map)

Unfortunately I am a computer/design noob, so they wonÂ´t get better than that - although they would look much nicer with some topographical elements.

What is the date of the map?

Brazil declared war August 1942

Really hate those “telescoped” tts like Gibraltar.

Really, REALLY hate that “NWE” tt incorporating nw Germany; much better to move the sea border.

For practical, purposes Finland border with SZ4 lost in Winter War.

Rhodesia would be better termed British East Africa.

French West Africa was Vichy until November 1942.

Sinai peninsular was part of Egypt; thus Suez canal runs through Egypt; this was finally corrected in A&A 1914 - it was no different in WWII.

Status of Syria-Iraq depends on exact date.

Libya southern border is not updated from 1914.

Where are you placing factories?

What rules do you propose regarding USA-USSR relations? I’m thinking of the Pacific theatre - if the USA can (unhistorically) fly bombing missions from Soviet Far East why bother taking Okinawa/Iwo Jima?

Singapore, not Hong Kong, was the big British military base in then Far East.

You’re using the Allied Italian roundel before they changed sides.

Um, when did Switzerland gobble up a chunk of northern Italy? Missed that one in history class.

The “Czech” part of that country is in Germany on your map.

Transylvania to Hungary.

Bessarabia was annexed by USSR 1940.

Don’t like the one turn Atlantic crossing from USA.

How does Northern Ireland work?

I might also be inclined to beef up “Italy” with the transfer of Finland, Romania & Hungary.

The territory divisions in the map he posted are basically the ones I made for the TripleA version of the AA50 map. The German version posted at the top has them fleshed out and colored-in, with some adjustments to a few island territories that I can see.

If you’d like to play around with the projection this version might be helpful. It has a few basic regions demarcated that you can erase to reshape the map to suit your tastes. Gibraltar is rather stretched to make the med larger, but you could probably tweak it if you wanted to to get rid of any telescoping and such. Basically it was done originally to match the basic space requirements of AA50, but I always like to see more accurate maps. I’m not sure the version posted above was meant as a mod, or just for the basic AA50 game, but you’re welcome to use the materials for whatever purpose. There are more baselines in tripleA, for various maps if you or anyone likes to play around with them.

It should either be neutral, or divided n/s between USSR & UK (from September 1941).

You can see from the original baseline, that many potential territories divisions were erased out to match AA50’s gamey divisions. But in the original, I went through and drew out regions within territories, in case future modders were interested in making a more accurate design.

So for example, Persia has Fars, Khorosan, Baluchistan, and other regional divisions that might be useful, if trying to divide it up further into Russian/British zones.

I tried to leave a lot of such divisions in Europe and Asia specifically, so the territories could be carved up in other ways. Beyond the boxed Axis and Allies version of AA50 which is kind of silly admittedly ;)

Flash, your suggestions are reasonable and correct, but this isnÂ´t the Anniversary Edition map any longer.

All I wanted was a german map for me and my buddies that allowed us to play OOB A&A50 on a bigger map that has the biggest errors (baltic states, Poland etc.) excluded.
