    I hate to say it, I think the allies never had a chance. The dice screwed them in Tobruk meaning the Allies were 2 or more turns behind securing the middle east and coming to Russia’s aid etc. Just enough to let Japan do whatever it wanted. Not to mention I think Japan was probably pulling its punches a little.

    Plus, I swear the allies just kept getting nickeled and dimed always getting little hits whittling away thier forces. Not to mention my convoys missed most of the time until I had a huge fleet.

    This was a sad game for me.

    I swear if the med had gone my way UK1 the allies would have had the advantage. 22 bid is a good bid.  Just drives me crazy that the Axis from R1 just slowly and steadily just kept going up while the allies scrambled around to no effect.

    we can rematch, but i need to clear up a couple of my games first, as i picked up one too many. so sometime in the next few weeks i’ll hit you up again.

    well tobruk is always risky, imo, which is why i rarely do it. i usually prefer to just try to hold egypt with the extra bid units, and if germany pushes really hard with lots of planes, then russia can counter act that in the north by pushing onto finland and norway (since planes are absent).

    Tobruk can be done, but you need to skip Z97 while doing it.

    Cool, if we rematch, just reset this game.  Another prob I have is I don’t take my time.  I know the best players, like yourself, often run the numbers etc, something I don’t carve out the time to do, which I should.  So, if we play again, I’ll slow it up so to give you more of a challenge.

    As for tobruk, I’ll go back and look but I thought I had a pretty good advantage. BUT! I didn’t run the numbers.

    Cool, if we rematch, just reset this game.  Another prob I have is I don’t take my time.  I know the best players, like yourself, often run the numbers etc, something I don’t carve out the time to do, which I should.  So, if we play again, I’ll slow it up so to give you more of a challenge.
