Question - if Russian and UK ships are sharing a sea zone, and the Germans attack the Brit ships, can the British players use the Russian ships in defense IF Germany has NOT gone to war with Russia?

Do you think it would ever benefit Germany to grant the Baltic Fleet access to the Atlantic or the Northern Fleet to the Baltic? I’m not sure what’s the best move.

Say you attack Turkey, and only take out 6 of their infantry and you get wiped out, would their infantry regenerate back to 8 immediately, or when they remain with 2 until someone finishes them off?

46 ipcs can be convoyed from the Japanese, assuming money islands and Phil, May, and Shan State.

Any competent Japanese navy can prevent that. Each sub raids on average 2 IPCs, say you want to raid Java, it takes 2 subs. A Japanese player will send a destroyer and a bunch of planes in making a profit

Yes as some neutrals that have no markers have no military according to G40.

This would not be realistic. By the start of the game, the Soviets had recently concluded a disastrous war with Finland already. They “won” the war but suffered hugely. The territory called “Vyborg” on the map represents the territory the Soviets won from Finland in that war. The Soviets knew at the start of this game that it’s military was a disaster due to Stalin’s purges, and would NOT risk another war, especially to provoke the Germans.

But the game starts with 'Vyborg" in Russia’s hands…so this was their prize for already fighting the Finnish…and the entire world knows about their humiliating status of their armed forces.

Ya my bad too. Nov. 39 - March 40 war. 40 OOB starts in spring of 40. Too bad.

Hey Wild Bill we must play a lot of 39 games !!! :-D

The country that controls the territory controls the troops.

Germany takes Bulgaria, gains 4 infantry (+whatever was moved in there).Â When Germany goes again, those troops can now move, whether it be combat or non-combat.

That’s what the 1942 edition is for Cow.

And if that’s too tricky to wrap your mind around there is always 1941 for you.

Some of us like the relative complexity. :wink:

thanx Mclovin…i was just thinking the same thing that the 2nd edition game i have just chilling in the closet would be a great choice to paint some neutral armies with…blue for allies?what shade of blue if france is already blue? red sounds great for axis actually…i noticed grey being used for strict neutrals as well. mclovin " Actually all the neutrals I just used the 1986 second edition infantry. Just mixed up different countries and painted them white, then the flags on the roundels. Not zoomed in 500x they actually don’t look too bad

I used a really dark blue for the Pro-Allied, so there isn’t any confusion with the French pieces. Red seemed to fit the Axis.
