Correct. The airbase rules only apply to the units on that land space - they do not apply to units in adjacent spaces.
Anybody making large map for Pacific 1940?

I was wondering if anybody was in the works of creating a map of AAP40 so that we can download it and print it out larger and or modify it to our liking.

Not making one and nobody needs one. They finally are making maps the correct size these days. No need for some ridiculous 20 foot map.
70 inches is almost 6 feet. Its stupid to need anything larger than that.
The only reason why i made any maps was because junk like AA42 comes out and it’s unplayable out of the box. 6 foot maps are playable.

IL, I thought you were gonna do this. In addition to increasing the map size a little to make room for my stacks of ships, I hoped you would fix Honolulu, and show the starting setup on the maps. I also hoped you would clean up the edge of the sea zone at Korea and others to make sure there was no more confusion.
One reason I laugh at WOTC is when they make a bigger map, they put more zones in it and then I can’t fit the pieces in any longer. The cycle just keeps going.

The crunch has occured in Europe in the pastYes, this is my concern as well. But no worries. As we have seen in the past, if there is a big enough issue with TT size and enough people complain, our talented artists here at AA.org will produce some beautiful jumbo maps for us to print out and all will be right with the universe.
