    Before I can tell, I need to know if your US combat moves were legal indeed. I have been pretty sure that you need odds of winning a battle unequal to zero in order to have it count for creating possible landing spots. This had not been the case, however. But it may be possible, too, that handling of it is different in our league from live play via TripleA lobby. (I don’t recall.)

    SS to 42 has >0 chance to kill everything but fighters, which would land on Java. US carrier can pick up fighter/tac that are in 37 if SS in 42 wins,

    So is legal

    Since you acknowledge the “unequal to zero” rule, I’m not sure if I’m missing part of your question

    They are above 0 as long as I attack with a unit with combat value. All that is required is a theoretical possibility of a landing spot for an attack to be legal.

    alright, this is what I wanted to know. Before playing by forum I got used to live plays where it was common, that you need to prove odds >0% by a battle calculation . I unfortunately had not updated this in my mind (no biggie) but I see that within League

    • Odds could be one in a quadrillion and
    • you may assume that all of your rolls will be hits and all of your opponent’s rolls will be misses - no matter how many.

    (How about playing with Low Luck instead of regular dice: do odds have to be >0 using Low Luck then?)
