  • @barnee Hello Sir, TripleA won´t let me start the game as “Play by Email”. I usually have the below fields filled out as in below screenshot, but I am not able to press the “Play” button.

    What do you mean with
    “You Have To Move the Controlling/Attacking Player First then the defender or it won’t let you move the Attacker.” ? Which defenders would that be?

  • @Panzerstahl-Helm yea so I already got us set up. You need to put the saved game in your triplea/saved games folder.

    Usually, you want todo a practice turn in local mode, then restart the save with PBEM and it should already be filled out.

    Also, just for future reference, you don’t fill out any of the lower stuff. Just the two emails and a Game title. Not sure if the title is needed or not.

    Howdy. attached my combat move which needs your scramble orders.

    Please check the following:

    1. I added the Wolfsrudel-marker in SZ110, because I am attacking with 3 U-Boots.
    2. I purchased a few units and was asked to place them befor my combat move. I am not sure if I can use them right away…

    If these moves are correct, let me know your scramble orders. Otherwise I will adjust my move accordingly.

    Furthermore I am still not able to start the game as PBEM, but only as local game.

  • @Panzerstahl-Helm a few things. You can place the Waffen Units 1st phase but not the CV and U-boats.

    Here’s what you can place:
    All Infrastructure/Facilities upgrades as well as Waffen Infantry, Waffen Panzer, Commandos, Marines, Unarmed Mines, Waffen Paratroopers, Waffen Artillery, Wolfpacks and Underground Factories are all placed in the First Placement Phase. Everything else as normal. If placing both a Minor Factory and a Underground Minor, Place the Minor in the first phase and the Underground in the second.

    Waffen Heavy Tank also places. So, All Waffens Place 1st Phase.

    I looked at your earlier post again and see that you’re on the same pre release, 2.6.14477, so PBEM should work for us.

    Load the Save I posted, EXP Game 4 Stahl vs barnee.tsvg and go to Play By Email. You should get this.

    So, it will already be filled out and you can hit play.

    Go ahead and redo your first turn up to scramble. Also, yes, anything placed 1st phase is immediately active. You can send the Waffen Inf to France too if you want.

    Play by Email seems to work as you explained. :+1:
    You need to go to Play by Email and than open the saved file. I used to do it the other way around.
    No Wolfspack this round, but hopefully next round. ;-)

    I didn’t change the 1.84 update number or put it in Game Notes, because those are all in the xml and the xml isn’t compatible with previous saves if you change it.

    Kill the CA in 111 before the DD if necessary. If they somehow all survive 1st rd and the U-boats have sunk, then kill DD first.

    I seriously doubt that will be necessary lol

    here me J1 move.
    During my non-combat move I did transprt 2 units (1 inf. + 1 art.) vial rail from Kiangsu to Kwangsi. I used these 2 Rail symbols, which appeared during non-combat move in Kiangsu, but are not visible after the non-combat move anymore.
    Can these be used only once?
    Can I place these 2 Rail symbols to another territory and move 2 units from there via rail? Or does I have to rail from Kiangsu only?

    I purchased a paratroop and a LCV and played around with them in a local game. Somehow I can´t get the paratroops to move 3 spaces from Japan to Amur in Round 2 (I declared war on Russia) to attack it. Japan has an airfield, so the Paratroops should move 3. Or do I need to manually edit this move?
    Same for the LCV. Do I need to manually edit the movement before Combat move?

  • @Panzerstahl-Helm right on. Yea I’ll do a detailed explanation with screenshots for rail, LCVs, Paras and a few others. The Game Notes should explain it fairly well but it’ll be nice to have a quick access guide as the Game Notes take a lot of scrolling. And I don’t like how 2.6 has them under Help now.

    Anyway, we’ll start with Rail. They show up at start of CM. I think I did that because they didn’t work at start of NCM. I can’t remember. I’ll revisit it.

    I just picked a place that seemed the most effecient for there placement as they can’t cross water without Edit. UK is in S Africa for example. Everyone else in there Capital, except china.

    At any rate, during NCM, you move the rail unit wherever you want. If you’re blocked, you’ll have to use Edit. Then click on it and the Unit you want to move and move it there.
    Looks like you got that figured already.

    However, you have to Player Enforce correct movement. You have to have a continuous line of communication from before Combat takes place to move them. There are also some limitations depending on Player.

    Anyway, in your save, you have moved two dudes to Hunan. You can’t do that, because it was conquered this turn.
    I’ll edit them to Kwangsi for now and you can change if you want :)

    For LCVs you will need to use Edit as they have to cross water. Click on LCV and the dudes it’s transporting. Then move em where you want to go. Obviously all Player Enforced rules wise.

    For Paras, same thing when crossing water. On land routes they will work correctly,

    Occasionally triplea won’t let you move on a legal route. Sometimes you can make it work by moving one space at a time. If not, Edit is required.

    Forgot to comment last time. Looks like G did pretty good rd 1 other than Normandy, although I thought you’d at least get a hit :) Guess they were holding strong for Dunkirk lol.

    That’s always kind of a tough one for me. Those small Battles can swing so easily, especially early game. Those Big Naval Battles can do the same.

    Oh yea, do you play the OOB Global at all or the BM mod ? Elk’s UHD map has a version for it too. He just sent me latest syria fix. I’ll probably upload tonight. Won’t affect our game.

    How do you like the map and units ? It took me a bit to get used to, but I can’t play on the old map anymore.
    It did a lot of good and continues to do so, but I really dig UHD :)
