      Salve. Ich komme aus Frankfurt/Main und spiele seit neuesten Global40 Expansion von The Captain! Ich kann die Variante nur wärmstens empfehlen, vor allem, wenn man schon einige Runden Global40 auf dem Buckel hat.
      Die Expansion rules geben eine fantastische Tiefe und viele neue Strategien! Das Regelbuch kann anfangs etwas abschreckend sein, aber spätestens nach 3-4 Zügen hat man den Dreh raus!
      Nochmal - ich kann diese Variante nur wärmstens empfehlen!
      Gerne stehe ich für eine Testrunde zur Verfügung ;-)

      Salute. After almost 4 games of The Captains Expansion ruleset, I can say that this version is the most balanced, versatile, exciting and multi-layered I have played.
      All 4 games so far have been different and it’s always been a long, even battle, with constant back and forth!

      The game requires more planning both in operations and overall. The many new units (landing craft, paratroopers, elite, air transports etc.) offer almost countless tactical possibilities. And the “unlocking” of new game options (Total War, SS units, tank generals, additional units in the Pacific, etc.) or the formation of tank armies and entire army groups throughout the game takes the game to a whole new level.

      I can warmly recommend this version and am happy to give it a test play ✌🏻

      Congratulation and thank you for yet another fantastic game! Very well done and a deserved victory.
      Hard and long fight indeed and some good battles on sea.
      I guess the Axis lost momentum when the US Navy entered the Med. Sea.
      Capt. Sam Destroyer missed to block the entrance at Gibraltar…
      At that point the Allies and his High Command have started to tighten the thumbscrews.

      Very good and enjoyable game!

      I will do the Report, unless you want to, but with a young Familie and a job to support them, you’re time is more valuable than mine :)

      I can’t remember but I thought this was our 2nd tournament game ? I guess if not, we’ll need to reload for the rematch. I thought we we’re 1-1 though. I will check.

      This was our 1st tournament game. We started the tournament in the middle of our 4th game. So we can count the 4th game as part of the tournament, if you want.
      I leave it to you if you start our 2nd Tournament game or our 6th game :-)

      I am still in the 1st game against Victory. So we haven´t started our 2nd game yet.

      And another fantastic game, which was open for quite a long time until the Allies finally got the upper hand!

      Germany’s navy was initially heavily rearmed with the aim of giving the Mediterranean to the Axis and thus supporting the Italians in the capture of Africa and cutting the British off from the important revenue from their colonies. To ensure this, Gibraltar had to be taken and held at all costs, making this theatre of war a fiercely uncontested spot for most of the war. However, this perfidious Albion knew how to exploit this quite successfully, sending waves of paratroopers and landing troops to the German coasts in Western Europe turn after turn.
      After the annexation of Italy, the German war machine was fired up again.
      On the eastern front, the front line was bitterly contested and, apart from a brief advance far into the Russian north, the Wehrmacht was finished before Belarus. They were never able to reach the gates of Moscow.
      The beginning of the end came with the bombing of the Ruhr area and the brief landing of Allied troops there. With the front now directly in the Reich’s territory, it was all over!

      Japan had played a wild game in the first few turns and had given the Allies and especially the Americans and Australians, whose teeth Japan was able to pull out completely for a while, a real run for their money in the second half of the game.

      Italy did more than well for its standards. The Mediterranean was free of Allied ships for most of the war. Economically, Italy was able to make extensive use of the Mediterranean region to keep its income at a high level. The price for this was a constant and relentless battle side by side with German troops against tireless wave after wave of American attacks in Gibraltar.

      Despite all the supposed advantages, the Axis was unable to take advantage of the momentum or the action, and on the other hand, the Allied troops had an extremely talented commander on their side who ultimately brought the Axis powers to their knees!

      It’s been a while since the game, but I’d still like to give you the match report.
      Disclaimer - the report was created by AI by giving the turn summary to the bot as fodder. I added a few comments of my own in italics, as well as the world map at the end of every 2 turns after the France turn.
      I also created a report for each nation and faction.

      Hehe that’s a good-looking report 😀 The AI is good at story-telling however I don’t think it is always telling the right stuff lol 😂 Here is a considerably condensed game report on my part to complement yours.

      Hehe, I had the same feeling. The report is different than my memories of that game. I remebered the Allies fire-fighting throughout the entire game at every corner. The Axis were hard pushing everywhere.
      Maybe the AI bot needs more examples, or perhaps I should feed it some real war diaries from veteranes.

      Guten Abend!
      Oh boy, that was a fine battle in Western Ukraine! A complete wipe out on both sites. Western Ukraine became very lonely!
      You did pretty much everything correct and I couldn´t find any error or else!
      Except that you missed to place the army flag on both sides, which gives the army bonus. But that’s only a minor impact and is fairly distributed between both sides. So no biggie at all!

      Good idea to save after each round and also I recommend to do such big battles in EDIT mode and save after each round.

      Besides that, the Russian Partizanes are placed only in the 2nd placement phase. You need to change the ownershipe of Eatsern Poland back to Germany, but occupied by a Russian Partizan. I can do that on my J-turn.

      Following aboves explanation of The Captain, I adjusted my turn accordingly.
      Barnee mentioned, that the 2 LMs in Egypt defend against ZS98, I should have rolled for them before the battle.
      I did so above and luckily your lMs didn´t hit. Makes adjusting my turn easier! :-)

      I removed the remaining LCV and changed the ownership back to UK and added the 2 LMs again.
      I withdraw 7 IPC (2 for Egypt + 5 for the NO) from Germanys treasury.

      Attached the revised turn version with Russia up!

      Hello Sirs,

      can LCV without any cargo attack (and even capture) a TT?
      Germany attacked Egypt from Syria with 2 LCVs + some airforce with the intention destroy the bomber and Elite.
      All Allied troops were wiped out and 1 German LCVs survived.
      Can it capture Egypt?
      If not, what will happen with the surviving LCV?
      Is this even a legal move?
