    Well I’m gonna hit a 1940 Game. Thought about a Basic test, but most problems are all related to the three mods anyway. Think Waffen INF and the soviet Conscripts the two biggest differences if i remember right and I know those work. Got to turn a couple options off.

    Anyway, the drums are beating lol.

    oh yea @The-Captain you guys ever try a '39 version ?

    Yea - we played the “World at War” from Xeno Games back in the 90’s.

    I think this was a 1939 starting setup.

    Some of the Rules & Units in the Axis & Allies Global 1940 House Rules Expansion are inspired from Xeno Games.

    So this means, that the Wolf Pack Rule is active when 3 German U-Boat units attack sz 109 ?

    @the-captain Yea the way they work is you need to edit one in or buy one for free and place in first place phase and then move to wherever a wolfpack forms in Combat Move. When there’s less than 3 U-boats, it will auto remove the wolfpack after combat.

    If you take additional losses during an opponents turn, you need to remove with edit after their combat turn.

    SZ 109 was having the wolfpack removed when 3 U-boats were present because of a typo that was checking SZ 101.

    Hi barnee,

    Yesterday we started a test game.

    I discovered that Germany was able to move 3 Infantry units from Poland to Romania in Early 1940 Non-Combat Movement - using Strategic Rail Movement.

    The maximum German Rail Capacity each round is 2.

    Do we have to use edit ?

    Also - when we saved the game - we were not able to open “Saved Game” again…


  • @the-captain I just tested and after you move by rail and drop the guy off, you can still move that rail back and grab another ? is that what you did ? I never realized it. Anyway, I click on a rail unit or both, move them to where the units to be moved are, then click on those units and move to final destination.

    So don’t need edit, but you do need to player enforce. The “E” Rail unit is to keep track of which Rail you use, but all rail units can go anywhere, so that is player enforced as well.

    What triplea version you running ? The 2.5 one ? Are you playing by email/forum then ? There’s been some trouble with that lately. Mainly some emails don’t work, like google. You can save the game and then send it by file to your opponents email to get around it for now. Redrum fixed it, but nobody has added it to 2.5 so …

    Can you post the save here ? You can open it in local mode correct ?

    We played with “Human” for all Nations.

    We only played Germany’s 1st round - simply to see how it works - on my pc. Not by e-mail.

    Yes - I clicked on the Rail unit in Berlin - and then on the Infantry unit in Poland - and then moved it to Romania.

    The Rail unit was then “left” in Romania. Then I was able to use it again.

    Anyway - we’ll Player Enforce this movement in future games:+1:

    I’m not sure why I can’t open the game I saved… I’ll try to start a new test game - and see what happens.

    But everything seems very easy to use so far - you did a great job:+1:


  • @the-captain right on yea I just leave the rail unit where it unloads and then click another one if going to different places. So basically just use one rail per unit.

    Hmm … yea idky the saves not working. There is an auto save you can open and then look for the last turn. If playing locally, I just make a unique name and save after every turn, sometimes certain phases like after combat move as well.

    Anyway, it’ll take some getting used too. Glad you got it up and running. There’s a few tricks I’ve picked up for moving units and stuff, I need to right them up.
