I hope France will be split in 6 territories like in this pic :

a sixth French territorys would probably not add anything to gameplay or realism. There should defninently be more than three though. Five would probably be best, just merge the normandy and southwest territory. I hope they change the start date to the begining of the battle of France so the important parts can be played out.

But honestly…. About France. I imagine it would be closer to the AAE map with Vichy in the south(unlike map above). Western coast and Normandy being one territory, Vichy as one, Dunkirk/Calais as one, Paris/Sedan being another. Four altogether.
Also, who would control FREE FRANCE once Paris falls? England?

That would be nice. The game needs more diplomatic simulation anyway, now that game starts in 1940. It could be cool in multiplayer if soviets or Japan decide switch teams or go more free for all :-D

France gets its national tokens… it gets its colonies that are all over Africa in AAE and a couple of places in the AAP game (French Indo-China and New Hebrides) It has its own dedicated colored units. If captured by the initial German blitzkrieg its surviving units are controlled by one of the allied players – probably the British player. If France is liberated it recovers its liberated factories and goes back to war against the axis as any major power would.
As johnny said France will have all the units as anyone else. I also thought Larry shot down the Vichy thing. Said it complicates things to much. Maybe he’ll change his mind and make it an option in the global game or later in an official LH erata.

the infantry peice will be unquie, but all its other units will proably be blue British pieces
