    I noticed that UK SBR on the minor IC in N-B rolled a 2 and that an additional 2 in damage was edited in.

    The SBR occurred during the NCM. As dicebot on the forum was not used, I assume that the game was saved and the German turn was replayed with the SBR as the only combat. This would account for the Marti message titled “L21 #2 AoW (X+12) v Trulpen (L) PTV:British rolling to allocate cost of strategic bombing raid against Germans in Normandy Bordeaux.”

    If so, I am puzzled because I have never edited (added 2 to) a roll for a (regular) bomber roll of less than 6. If the roll does not specify the actual damage, why did the die roll for the German SBR on the minor IC in Egypt show 7. I have wondered about such inconsistencies for some time now and would appreciate some clarification. Have I been shortchanging my SBR rolls of less than 6 all this time?

    If so, I am puzzled because I have never edited (added 2 to) a roll for a (regular) bomber roll of less than 6. If the roll does not specify the actual damage, why did the die roll for the German SBR on the minor IC in Egypt show 7. I have wondered about such inconsistencies for some time now and would appreciate some clarification. Have I been shortchanging my SBR rolls of less than 6 all this time?

    Yes, you have. The sb gets +2 on the roll when SBR. The tac does not and may also not target factories.

    The client shows the final result, so a rolled 6 would be 8 dmg, shown by the number and not the dots.

    So there is bug in the AA program, because it recorded as a bomber’s damage the number of dots (2) and not the number of dots plus 2 (4). This seems so odd, because my recollection is that sometimes the map reflects the former (i.e., does not add 2 to the dot roll) and sometimes the latter (i.e., adds 2 to the dot roll) Then other times (e.g., the German SBR on Egypt), Marti does not show a die with 5 dots but a die of 7. This inconsistency is confusing.

    Yes, this what I figured you did and why I am confused. In the case of (regular bombers), it seems that sometimes 2 is added to the Marti die roll with dots, sometimes 2 is not added, and sometimes a number such as 7 appears.


  • Might be that there’s a tac that you looked at?

    What I know 3A has always added 2 on the roll for sb’s. Never seen anything else.

    I think that you are confusing MARTI with 3A though. When a sb rolls say 2, the client will record 4 while the dicemail shows 2.

    The persentation of dice can be a little confusing, but I guess since it’s 6-sided dice, it shows a number instead of dots when higher than 6.
