yah not good at all for you. you’ll need to make some big gains elsewhere to make up for it. i lost only 2 figs from your aa, and that’s it
yeah, i felt like if it came out average I was in good shape. I wasnt sure you would go all out either. But I hated the look of things if I abandoned it. Id usually prefer to play conservative, but I couldnt come up with a conservative turn that I thought wasnt disaster.

This is a new one for me. Havent been punished like that before particularly after devoting so much of the early US buys to pacific. But your J3 was just perfect. Hit everything including Guam with basically no losses and no vulnerable transports. Even had the air in TrJ which usually discourages early assaults on India but my UK1 factory screwed me. Made it possible to take out italian fleet earlier than normal which gave you a nice window. Combined with the Med disaster, I felt like I had to take a risk. If I had abandoned India, you still take it permanently a turn or two later but US doesnt even get a chance to make something happen. Not looking good.

normally I don’t go so aggro on India so early, but seeing how you went so aggro on italy, it only made sense. that’s usually how I will react if I see poor italy getting ganged up on

yah I figured you did that for that reason. but then you have to decide whether you’re going to kill the Italians in the med or give up India
yeah after you gave up your transports I almost decided to leave them alone, but never expected a scramble and have never seen someone go after India like that. Next time I see such a pretty J3 I will know… Just didnt think it would work when US was committing to pacific. And maybe it still wont!
