Try your strategies out in the league

Greetings all,

I just wanted to drop a little appeal/invitation to all players that post and discuss general strategies to move the discussion or at least add to the discussion experience in actually trying it in games online.
I think it would help many players in this forum to get a better understanding of what works and what doesn’t.

So guys: Do not only discuss in theory but also put your strategies into practice in the G40 league.

New players are always welcome, in case you feel insecure about how to handle the tripleA client and how to find opponents and handle games, the league community is very friendly and helpful.

A very thoughtful invitation. It’s similar to internet poker vs live poker, or speed chess vs tournament chess. Same exact game, but not AT ALL the same game.

Hi Wizard. Do you refer to the amount of games I play or the frequency I move within my games?

In general, there is a 72h post rule, so you are supposed to make a move at least every 72h. In case you are communicative and announce holidays e.g. there isn’t a single player that ist not lenient in case a turn takes more than 72h.

@Wizard League play is the only way to go… It is really “fun” games that count… So you take it with a little more seriousness then a fun game… But like right now I am trying many different things… Making it fun and different for me… I am used to playing live and TripleA allows you to take your time and try different layouts, moves, and situations… something you can’t really do in front of your opponent in a live game… Also the community here is great… I played a game took a 2 year break and just came back and people are treating me like I have always been here… The page is fabulous and I am very grateful that it is here… So find a game or two – heck I will play you if you like… I just play for fun and experience is all… I want to win, but don’t care if I do…

(Though the balanced mod topics are optional. You can play either balanced mod or vanilla G40. You just need to agree with your enemy on a common version)

I would still like to invite you to follow trulpen’s example and join the league. Trulpen is the perfect addition to the league.
He fuels the competition because he is a strong player, he keeps the league active by playing many games and he is a great sportsman and fun to play with.

I have to say, it’s great to play in the league! Competitive, fun games. Haven’t regretted it once. Not even when blundering or being diced beyond the rim of hell.
