    here is my combat move. I’ll assume a scramble next to Hawaii and roll my side and then send you the file again. The odds are 83% for me if you don’t scramble and 40% if you do. But if you don’t want to scramble we can edit after the first roll.

    I also realize this is probably a profoundly stupid move on my part, but it was so tempting to see what happens.

    still can’t post. Here is the saved game from before.

    The combat was pretty even. I withdrew 7 air when you had 4 air left and the two battleships. On the second round, I made the mistake of taking your destroyer off, but your total hit could wipe out the subs so I took them all as casualties (which is what I would have done anyway if you had a destroyer)

    I’ll try to get to the rest of the turns this morning too but am actually starting a live game of global and so might be a bit slow.

    I’m also curious on what you thought of the attack. I was worried it was too high risk given that it was 40% but I was pretty confident that I could wipe out your carriers before I lost all my air and that would make it worth it. It worked out, but maybe I just got lucky on that.

    I also figured that since you didn’t build reinforcements you were going to retreat that fleet from Hawaii. And I figured that given I had mostly subs, you were in a good position to threaten me from moving out right away and take Australia (and threaten India). I was worried I might recover Hawaii only to lose India and Australia if I didn’t do this.
