Hey, guys, when I asked Krieg about this same thing, he made a VERY interesting point. Depending on timing, you could bomb an enemy Base and it would then be unusable to their ALLIES until the base owner’s next turn. So you can effectively disable the capability without your enemy being able to fix it. You heard it here first. :-D

In Pac SBR a Jap AB could be a great strat in the right circumstances because of turn order. Say Jap uses an island AB to protect its navy. The US could take the heat and SBR w/escorts. Jap will scramble its air, but hits on a 2 or less, and the battle only last 1 round (of course it sucks the US only hits on a 1). Say two US bmrs survive the dog fight and the AA guns. They only need to SBR an AB 3 points to disable it. Then UK and Anz can attack the Jap fleet w/o worrying about Jap ftrs scrambling (they’re grounded). Jap can only repair the AB on its own turn, which hasn’t come around yet. So it works both ways :-D
