Jenn think of it if you were viewing a map through a box. If you want to look to the right, you grab the map and drag it to the left.
I understand what’s being said, but it’s bass-ackwards from how it was working in Version 8 and Version 9. Why did Version 10 suddenly go in the opposite direction?

Have no idea but probably one of the developers thought it was bass-ackwards the way it was working on the previous versions :-D

Or the developer was schizophrenic? Maybe dyslexic?

hehehehe :-D
lol I never even knew you could drag the map. A mouse with a trackball makes scrolling a cinch!
@Cmdr:
And I see the edit function, so at least the units can start in the correct spots and the cash can start correct!
if you do not want to change this at the beginning of each of your games, you can change it in the .xml file. This file includes all initial unit places, territory values and if I remember well, the initial cash.
I do not remember precisely which line to change, but the file is quite easily understable
Hah! Sweet, I didn’t know I could do all that, of adding men and changing income. Sweet dealio! By the way, where can I find the right board set up, if, as Jen is saying, the Triple A map is flawed?

The first version of AA50 had some differences in territory values and units but they have been corrected. You can get the newest version here

you have more information of what you can do in the developer_documentation.html file, in the folder doc of the triplea folder (all information about how to change the .xml file is in the section 5.3). This file is not complete, but there is a lot of things in.
As for the NO’s and such, just this Thursday the developer announced he had an anlpha release ready, and they are testing it.
He expects a Beta this week.
(However, sligth problem, tripleadev.org went down yesterday….)
And Jen…it’s kinda cheap to knock on TripleA being it’s 10th release, where Battlemap is only at .87 or whatvere.
What do you think? Battlemap is a picture, and other small pictures that you need to drag around yourself.
TripleA actually incorporates an entire game engine.
Let me see you do that in one release…
