@black_elk said in Working on a New Map 40/41: Seeking Suggestions:
perhaps with some map making type tutorials in the same way that Pact of Steel 2 taught how to create an xml and such
:+1:
cool
that reduces rules file from 30 pages to 18 pages straight off (National Advantages is 9 pages, Optional units, Rail, etc)
my early prediction, 15 pages
very touchable
yes we could make them a separate file. Thats good thinking Tekkyy!
Does anyone have a copy of the standard map file (or historical for that matter) without the country names, national markers, or VC/IPC numbers on it. I’m basically looking for a map with just the countries outlined. if anyone could be of assistance I would appreciate it. It can be in PDF or Illustrator format.
Sorry just use the AARHE map. Use GIMP to edit.
It can be in PDF or Illustrator format.
hi
I can give you the .ai file
all the icons are in separate layers
so in illustrator you can toggle on/off for all everything
in 15 seconds you can tick on/off the IPC icons, VC icons, setup icons, etc independently
by the way what are your plans?
making a new map? customized gameplay?
I want to use it for customized gameplay. Illustrator format would be excellent. Just send the file to my email address.
stuanderson, I’ll try to send you the file soon
hi stuanderson
you get can the blank here http://home.exetel.com.au/cometo/aarhe/maps/20080321_AARHE_blank.ai
Thanks. Just got to learn how to use Illustrator to it’s full potential… j/k.
Do you really did it,after carefully trimming and taping them all together the map was glued to a nice 1/16" pressboard surface on a 1" x 2 " frame for stability.?
and so where is the picture of game in progress?
mediafire.com will handle it.
I printed out your map Imperious Leader at 36" x 72" as one piece with a 5 mil laminate on both sides.
Very nice! Thanks!
ah good. now play a sample game and don’t use the optional rules until you got the normal stuff down pat.
I assume your talking 1939 AARHE?
No, I started with the AARHE42.
I need it in a 1939 version but will probably buy the 2 new ones coming out instead.
oh ok. Then the rules are easier…
We printet out the map at 118" X 60" on a expanded polystyrene plate
and build a table with drawers for the miniatures around the map :-D
we took the big miniatures from A&A for more details and now the game
is perfect.
We all want to say THANK YOU for your amazing map Imperious Leader.
Here i have some pics for you:

That is huge. I thought my 48"x 96" was big but……
I have map envy! :|
I few comments:
I see on the wall you printed my Great War map and the expansion map for Africa.
Have to played a game and also what version of the rules did you use? We are at like 12.0
Also, the map you printed on the table is not really AARHE, but can i assume you are using the map along with the rules for AARHE 4.0?
@coachofmany
Because of the good quality of the map from Imperious Leader we could
realise the size of this great map. We wait wishfully for the global map 1940
(AAP & AAE)
@Imperious Leader
Yes the great war map is awesome too but we played it only a few times with
rules 9.0. did you have any link with the new rules pls? this forum is a little wired
for us german krauts :-D
You’re right this is the wrong post because i didnt find your original AA50 map post,
we play this map with the original rules from the aniversary edition and some other
inventions.
Greetings from great Bavaria
