I think we were probably at a point in the game where it was worth the gamble (I think I had turned the game in the pacific and so you needed the breakthrough on the Europe side. And it could have easily gone another way. I had not intended to give you those kind of odds on Russia or Bryansk. On the Soviet turn I had assumed I had an airbase in Egypt (I do in my other game) and so had thought I had at least 2 more air to place in the defense. I’m relieved that it went the way it did.
Your J4 is quite strong and tough to play against. One suggestion though is that you should mix it up. From the beginning I was pretty confident I was playing against a J4 (based on the other games I can see you are playing) and so I made choices based on that, which I think helped me a lot.
