• How do they work? What is the cost and ability of these weapons?

  • There are three sperate tech levels for Nukes

the least adcanced must be carried by bomber and kill five units + destroys one IPC that round.

The most advacned may me fired from three spaces away and kill ten units + destroys 2 IPC

In my opion Nukes should destroy all units and IPC in a region.

  • Im tinkering with this very same idea at the moment. I just got the rules and understand them. They are really fun looking and i cant wait to play.  In my own variant i think its best to roll either to attack units or reduce military production.

    1. if you attack the territories value roll one D4= lost permanent value.

    2. if you attack units roll D6 or D8 = lost units

I plan on using those mushroom clouds from supremacy board game. I got some nifty counters from a milton bradley game for ICBM’s and Tac. Nukes.

here are my rules for aa, missiles destroy factory in that terrotory and stop economic production. once you buy a ic  this is all undone. nukes are used in stragic bombing not agianst armies so no lost of units… they are subject to being intrecepted though.

  • @Imperious:

Once i get this IMP games east & west thing… ill have a better picture.

It will be a new global map probably 1984-5 timeframe.

Using table tactics modern and risk 2010 pieces as well as normal AA pieces.

Yea diplomatic rolls and ICBM’s are in it. I want it to be possible for the world to blow up…and the survivors have to fight on… post -nuclear disaster style.

but the primary way would be by conventional means.

I just need alot of mushroom cloud plastic pieces… where you get them? Supremacy: the board game?

i just saw the map for the game and it is great inculding the korea’s and the middle east. assuming you have 3 ipc infantry, then all the terrotories value should average at to almost 3( or the cost of your basic infantry.)  this should only be the average not the mode. 0 ipc tertories don’t count. there is a bunch of 1985 scenerios out. so to give you an idea. the runeblade one and http://www.wargamer.com/axisandallies/CE/XENO/WAW/scenarios/waw_scenario_warsaw_page1.html.

  • destroy next turns IPCs? or destroy all IPC production?

  • @tekkyy:

destroy next turns IPCs? or destroy all IPC production?

  • destroy next turns IPCs? or destroy all IPC production?

I think since the income basis is decided at the start of your turn, then if the A bomb hit on your opponents turn and it was directed against the IPC… then its your current turns income. Destroy all income is a bit harsh. The third path is to allow a return of IPC to a rate of 1 IPC per turn but its too much accounting.

Basically attack military or attack economic. Both are permanent.

  • @cyan:

    @tekkyy:

destroy next turns IPCs? or destroy all IPC production?

my response didn’t turn up. but i think it shuold stop production of that terrtory(not actual ipcs lost). this is to give connvenial warfare a chance instead of just one big nuclear war.    to fix this all you do is buy a factory for the terrtory.

  • ah I see
    its about destruction of IC

  • @tekkyy:

    ah I see
    its about destruction of IC

would you rather destroy an industral area or a farming area with nukes. you would destroy the city and cripple miltary production. thenradiation would set in and kill crops. if you want to kill millions of people then gas attacks would be alot more effective and cheap.

  • Hhhmmm, interseting idea, the ICBMs.

  • rules update
preety much the same buyt a little differnt. ( like india under russian control)

Dog FightingAir unit’s fire in opening-fire fire.
While both sides have air units these air units fight with dog fighting values(2/2).
Air units’ hits must be first allocated on air units. the only exemption to this rule is that Bombers attack ground units at 3 or less but can still be hit by air units. when only one side has air units the units fight with normal combat value.

    Bombers
They defend on a 1 during all combat including dog fighting. Bombers can not participate in a dog fight as the attacker. During strategic bombing bombers may be escorted (see more at scramble against bombers). Bombers can carry 1 infantry unit into battle or in non-combat move phase. If so the bomber cannot attack during this turn.

    Scramble (against missiles)
Fighters may defend against missiles that enter its territory on a 2 or less this includes combat and non combat movement. This missile does not have to stop in that particular territory. This combat only lasts 1 round. Fighters cannot scramble if they participate in a dogfight. They can not opt out of a dogfight either.

    Scramble (against bombers)
Fighters may defend against bombers(s) at a 2 or less. The attacker may escort the bomber(s) with fighters. If the attacker chooses do this it becomes just like a dog fight but only lasts for 1 round and the defender is not restricted to how many fighters will scramble. If a dog fight is occurring in the territory the bomber(s) stop at, they just “tag” along. They leave after the first round (when they strategic bomb) of combat and do not count towards the dog fight count.

    Missile Strike
AA guns fire 1 missile at 3 spaces or less and can target IPCs. AA guns in a territory defend as appropriate.

Cruise missiles Battleships can now fire 1 cruise missiles up to 2 spaces If cruise missiles are used, the battleship cannot take part in combat. A cruise missile can attack IPC production. AA guns in a territory defend as appropriate.

  • Come to think of it both US and Russia only has 2 VC. Maybe China can be reduced to 2 as well.

Maybe we could have a Malaysian VC instead of Sinkiang?

Beijing is not geographically located in Manchuria, so maybe put that in China instead.

Would it be better to call Allies and Axis as US and China instead?

  • proposed victory cities. Jakarta was already victory city for china. but I’ve been some reviewing and Indonesia would be a lot closer to Russia/Iran than china. so i moved it from china.    your right Beijing is like on the border of Manchuria and china. I have to fix the excel chart now so hold up a second. i have a problem though. china(the territory) is not really industrialized so should i put the IC in china or Manchuria?
