Battle Calculator not working

I take a cue from the post for a question: what is the difference between “Av unit left” (attack or defend) and “Unit left if won”? maybe it’s a trivial question but …

@FMErwinRommel Good find! As in Global “UK Pacific units” simply do not exist.
By the rules “All combat moves, combat, and noncombat moves are made or conducted as any other power’s single, united force.”
So the TripleA battle calculator seems to somehow “sort” those units depending on whether they are on the European side of the map or on the Pacific side of the map.

Interestingly this does not occur with sea units. Those are correctly represented as being “British”, even on the Pacific side of the map.

In the attached savegame please use the BattleCalculator and look at SZ 37 and 39. The UK ships are correctly represented as “British”. The Infantry units in Malaya instead are incorrectly represented as “UK Pacific”, while they should be “British”, too. Switching to “British” sets everything to “Zero”. This is not exactly @FMErwinRommel 's scenario, but good enough to represent the issue.

@suprise-attack When you click reply, a window will open up. Beneath where it says “Replying to …” there are a series of icons. The one farthest to the right is to upload an attachment. You can add your game file as an attachment to your post. I think it works anyway. I haven’t got a reply from my opponent yet lol.

This will actualy affect the outcome of your battles a lot and your calculation will be off.

2 inf + 1 bomber have the same attack value as 3 art. But if putted against 3 inf the 2 inf + bombers comby has a slightly higher chance to win.

Of course, because you’re losing 2 attack power with the first two casualties instead of only 1, and the 4 remains until last instead of a 2.

First of all, my approximations with carriers or tacs are done normally in much larger battles than 3 on 3 and the error is in fact negligible.  Again, the point is to get a probability distribution which Triple A doesn’t provide.  None of the good calculators I’ve found have been updated to accommodate G40.

My approximations using bombers in place of infantry/AAA is pretty accurate, because in almost all cases those units will be eliminated in the first round of the battle.

Yes, these are two different files.

java.exe is the application that is allowed to use/access the console while javaw.exe is the “console-less” Windows application.
Or in other words java.exe targets the CONSOLE subsystem while javaw.exe targets the WINDOWS subsystem.

TripleA definitely uses javaw.exe to access the web.
So java.exe won’t help you out here.
