Fighter and aircraft carrier attacking a sea unit

If I have a carrier with 2 fighters aboard, can I use both in a sea combat? Let’s say my carrier with 2 fighters wants to attack a hostile sea unit 2 SZ over. Can the fighters takeoff and move 2 SZ and then have carrier be moved as well into combat? 2 separate movements but both enter into the same battle simultaneously.

@RYNO87 Indeed, the fighters move independently from the carrier. All combat movement happens simultaneously. So while the fighters fly the carrier moves. So you have described it correctly.
