Wow, that can really cause the UK some problems before they’ve even had a chance to do anything! Losing that fighter in R1 could really hit them hard.
Thanks for clarifying.

Can Germany do an amphibious assault against Gibraltar in round 1? There are no UK forces there but there is a tank in North Africa and a transport.
If the above is possible then I have a question that relates to it - if the German sub in sz16 attacks and destroys the UK carrier AFTER the above capture of Gibraltar, does it mean the UK fighter will have nowhere to land?
Thanks in advance for any clarification.
Thanks for your response wittmann. It seems we played the first game incorrectly then!
Are the same National objectives rewarded EVERY turn? E.g. Does the UK receive the extra 5 IPCs if they control all of their original territories at the end of their first turn, and then in the second round, third round etc? Or do they only get it once in the whole game?
The reason for asking is that it seems USA getting an extra 25 IPCs per turn seems huge.
Thanks.
Hi. When placing the fighters in sea zones during setup, only Sea Zone 42 states that the fighters should be placed on an aircraft carrier. This is not stated for SZ 14, 45 or 46.
Can someone please explain why this is not the case? My understanding is that fighters in Sea Zones must be on Aircraft carriers at all times (when not moving or attacking).
Thanks in advance.
Sorry. Stupid question, I’ve now realised what the tokens are for. In my eagerness I started to setup the board before reading the first few pages of the rule book.
According to my rule book the U.S. should have 9 infantry for the starting setup (2 in Eastern US, 2 in Western US, 1 in Hawaiian Islands, 1 in Philippine Islands, 1 in NW China and 2 in Szechwan). However, I’ve just opened the box and each country has 8 infantry pieces in the small plastic bags.
Am I missing a piece from the game or is there a mistake in my rule book for the starting setup?
Thanks, in advance.
