Oh, I get it now!
So the AI just confused. Makes sense.
The rule about the Vichy naval base in Sth France being usable to the Axis should be added to the notes.
@simon33 true. we will include it in the next update. thanks.
Version 6.4 of PTV is now available for download. The revisions are non-substantive and backwards compatible with earlier versions of the game.
The changes:
Updated Objectives Panel to reflect that Russia’s “Lend Lease” objectives only kick in from Round 3 and later;
Updated Game Notes to specify that the harbor in Southern France may be used by Axis Forces while under Vichy control.
To update your version of the game, delete the old version and reinstall through the Download Maps screen.
Enjoy!
Is there a complete rules, including objectives I can print out? OOB, built up to BM, built up to PTV, has me unsure where to look for the complete rules, without having to refer back to different rules/pages/links. Thanks! Playing F2F, tomorrow.
I’m sure this is the wrong section sorrry, I also searched but did not find, sorry again
In a PathToVictory game…
Does a sub prevents from loading enemies land units in a hostile SeaZone ?
I was sure about it but TripleA allows it and thre are no checkbox about it in the OPTIONS window…
No, a sub doesn’t actually make the sea zone hostile, but may be ignored.
On TripleA P2V map, long-range aircraft tech dev gives fighters and tacs ranges of 6 (7 w/airbase) and strats ranges of 8 (9 w/ab). Is that a rule change I missed or an engine problem?

PTV doesn’t have technologies implemented and isn’t designed to be played with tech.
@adam514 Makes sense, thank you.

Re: Carrier scrambles to adjacent sea zones with “Surface warships”, are transports included? Only scrambling to protect subs disallowed? Thank you.

No. That is the meaning of the phrase “surface warships”.
@simon33 thanks, I assumed not. Just wanted to double check!
Wanted to double check a rule here for PtV: In OOB you can attack USSR with Italy and NCM German units in on their turn giving you the NO for Trade still, but being in original USSR territory. Is that legal for League play/PtV still?
@mr_stucifer
Note: An Axis power may not move its units into originally Russian territory unless that Axis power is at war with Russia. Also, when not at war with Japan, Russia may not move its units into any non-Russian Allied territory in Asia, other than Syria, Trans-Jordan, Iraq, Persia, NorthWest Persia, and East Persia. The National Objective for Russia’s first capture of Berlin has been removed.

PTV is based on the ruleset of BM - so this note is valid for PTV too
@Gorshak thank you
Can land ANZAC fighters in Russia if they aren’t at war with Japan?
@mr_stucifer said in L23 - PtV - Mr_Stucifer (X+6) vs Dawgoneit (L):
I am fairly confident that, as the Soviet Union is not at war with Japan, Allied units cannot enter “Pacific” board spaces of the Soviet Union (Also, a warship, say Japanese sub, in SZ 5 would not counteract the Lend-Lease objective).
The game engine allows both of these things to occur, so they must be Player-Enforced. Or in the case of the Lend-Lease objective, use Edit Mode to grant you those 2 additional IPCs if I had had a sub sitting there.
Europe rulebook, page 37:
https://axisallies.com/rules/axis-allies-rules-europe1940-second-edition.pdf… if the Soviet Union is at war with Axis powers on only one map, it is still under the restrictions of being a neutral power (see “Powers Not at War with One Another,” page 15) on the other map, and Axis powers on the other map are also still under those restrictions regarding the Soviet Union on both maps. For example, a state of war with only Japan lifts the neutrality restrictions from the Soviet Union on the Pacific map only…
Sorry, should clarify that it is Soviet Far East (Pacific board spaces) I am asking about
@mr_stucifer Russia needs to be at war with Japan for Allied units to go into the Pacific side of Russian territories.
@Adam514 Sorry if this has been asked before…can a land scramble activate if only an aa gun is in the defending area? It has no combat value but is a defender? Paris scramble to hol/bel is the area
Yes you can scramble.
