Lol. This was way bigger than just the 6th army! Thing is, if he was paying attention, he could have prevented me from cutting him off. All he needed to do was reinforce just one of the spaces I had to attack, and that would have done it.

Regardless, he wasn’t winning anyway.

Just in case anyone needs parts, or would like to build a game for way less than the $170-200 complete games are going for. This does raise a question. Why would anyone replace the pieces with Battue pieces to be left with an all cavalry variant?

Ireland wasn’t partitioned until 1921, so this isn’t strictly accurate for 1919.

Using Eagle Games ‘Fast Play’ rules, it could be played, but there is no battle board.  In my opinion, the battle board makes this game fun.

I don’t see how you could play it online with the battle board, however, as every movement needs to be done separately.

I missed these NIE threads way back in the day.

With the total re-write of CTG NIE last winter, we’ve been playing it often.  Maybe 10 times this year.

It’s cool cause it’s like watching the war day by day. It’s starting to turn into a game, I get excited when theirs a big offensive, ooh whos going to take the city type of thing  :roll:  I’m rooting for the germans
