True, but personally I find coloured wooden blocks more aesthetically satisfying than Post-it notes.  I wouldn’t necessarily buy the blocks from scratch just for that purpose…but since I already have them in my collection, it’s easy to put them to use in this manner.

The part about the Post-it notes brings back fond memories of that Hitler rant video (now sadly taken down) in which his officers suggest ways in which he can compensate for the lack of sufficient Japanese tac bombers in Pacific 1940.  One officer advocates the use of poker chips, to which Hitler replies that if he wanted to use poker chips he’d play freaking poker.  Another officer proposes the use of pieces of paper with unit names written on it, to which Hitler replies that he didn’t pay 150 euros for a freaking Glenn Drover game.  (That second joke is a bit unfair.  I own Glenn Drover’s two Attack games, and while I admit that the design of the plastic pieces isn’t to my liking, at least they’re made out of plastic rather than paper.)

I started looking at NAPOLEONIC EMPIRE on TripleA and I find  it interesting but I need a Manual.
Not a TripleA manual, I played lot of games at Anniverdsary, Pacific, Europe and Global, I need a specific manual for NAPOLEONIC EMPIRE gameboard, dunno about specific rules and opposed powers/alliences
Can anyone link me a pdf manual or something similar ?

That’s true.  The supply lines also make it difficult for the invader but challanging non the less.  Linkon, you played a rough game if you went into turns 7 and 8, the game is supposed to end after the 6th turn. :-D

I missed these NIE threads way back in the day.

With the total re-write of CTG NIE last winter, we’ve been playing it often.  Maybe 10 times this year.

Most up to date info about CTG NIE is at http ://dartagnan.us/NIE/.  Also it is supported, rules wise, by me.  That website has my email address.

Its a block version of Third Reich but a bit easier.

Big problem is the defender gets to fire first, loses are removed, then attacker fires… if say UK and USA attack the same German territory the defending Germans roll both times against them.

This is a ridiculous rule IMO.

The good thing about it is the fog of war and its more efficient method is stacking.

Many of the rules are verbatim ripped from 3R but thats a good thing anyway for the most part.

you can use the map for AA pieces.

I have the rules for BB ( barrys bastardization) which is the conversion of EE to AA.

That’s not a bad idea……I can get away from the brutal cold and watch the Jets in action again. :lol:
