i don’t understand this example
Is antiaircraft fire targeted against specific aircraft?
A. Yes. In practice, you can roll a handful of dice against all enemy fighters, then roll another handful
against all enemy bombers. The reason for this rule is so that bombers will be forced to take hits from
AA guns.
Say you attack a territory with 2 fighters and 2 bombers. In that case the AA-gun rolls twice against the fighters and twice against the bombers. Let’s assume 1 hit against the fighters and 1 hit against the bombers. The attacker has to choose a fighter and a bomber.
If that rule wasn’t there you might have wanted to roll 4 rolls against all four planes. In case of two hits the attacker would have possibly chosen two fighters as casualties. That is why the above clarification has been included.
