  • for me tho, 12 rounds is actually pretty short. but then, I guess it depends on who your opponents are. if you’re playing easier opponents (which looks like you have been), then yah 12 rounds may seem very long.

    I will do my best not to deprive you of an opportunity for revenge.

    But yeah, the last couple rounds probably easily cost you a dozen inf or more, with which you would have been able to hold Rostov longer. Which is one of the things that I just dont know about. Can axis win if Germany never breaks thru Rostov combined with no Egypt? Im doing ok in Pac but Pac theater can turn super quick I think and I dont think i have another VC in the near future. But that looks to be a question for another game since I have finally pushed Russia back.

    Not sure what I was thinking last turn. Saw during japans turn how wide open I left West Germany. I wonder if you could have stayed in Rostov/Bry and did mass landing in WGer. I think that would have opened things up if you had brought US support from Pacific. Either way a massive oversight on my part that thanks to the break through in Rostov shouldnt be too painful but still unnecessary.

    Wondered what you would do in Japan. No chance to take Japan but certainly causes me to move stuff around in a way that could open things up for something to happen.

    yah I had considered the idea of staying in bryansk and rostov and doing the w.ger, but only after I already had moved russia. I was so upset about the dice results in the game while I was playing russia that I honestly couldn’t think straight. so I just moved without thinking too much. only after I had posted and came back to the game, I started seeing the opportunities, but at that point I really didn’t feel like redoing it. and yes I was considering the possibility of bringing as much air as possible to reinforce w.ger, but again you played Japan aggressively enough to where I didn’t think it would’ve been doing to redirect forces away from there. so yah what I have going now is a weaker version of that final thrust, unfortunately. but I considered this game pretty much lost at this point anyway. I mean look at even your convoys, they have been amazing, I wish I could get like 10% of the consistency you’ve been getting on me. so yah like I said, the dice have been pretty lopsided, with almost no relief (I couldn’t even get away with a clean SBR last turn).
