Convoy disruption example
-
Hello, I have a question on page 24 an example is given regarding Italian losses to convoys disruption of 6. I count Southern Italy 4, Northern Italy 3 and Albania 1 which would be 8 for Italy and German being 2 for Yugoslavia possible total of 10 possible damage. Is that correct the example makes no sense compared to United Kingdom Example where they have an option to lose 8.

There is only one sub in sea zone 97, so the maximum loss it can cause is 6 IPCs.

Thanks, I was reading more into it.

Unfortunately, I am still not clear on this subject. Where does it state that the maximum loss a sub can inflict is 6 IPCs?

In the rulebook:
@rulebook:
The
owners of enemy battleships, cruisers, and/or destroyers
roll one die for each such unit, and the owners of enemy
submarines and/or air units roll two dice for each such
unit. Any rolls of “4” or higher are ignored. The results
of these rolls that are “3” or less are totaled, and the
resulting number is the total convoy damage suffered in
the disruption. However, this number might be limited.
…So two dice for one sub with a maximum damage of 3 each total to a maximum of 6.
HTH :-)

Ah! Total of results that are 3 or less. Thanks!
