Thank you very much Panther. This clarifies the question.
Caspian sea

Hi,
The non sea zone in the middle of the board in Asia/Russia area that no sea units can be built, can air fly over it? I think yes, the other team said no because it has no SZ number.

The rule book says:
Note: The Caspian Sea (surrounded by Caucasus, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Eastern Persia, Persia, and Northwest Persia) is considered to be a sea zone, even though it does not have a number.
So I think you’re correct: air can fly over it.
On a side note: I don’t even see a rule against building naval units in the Caspian, provided that an industrial complex exists in an adjacent territory. It’s not very likely that this will happen often, but I can imagine a situation where this could be relevant.
IMHO, the Caspian might as well have had a number. -
Yes, air units may fly over the Caspian Sea, the fact that it has no sea zone number was more of a print omission rather than a rule enforcement (my custom map has many details including a number for that sea zone).

so you CAN build.
Interesting… So in hinds sight…say… you can also build an indus complex in anything around the territories around SZ 100… Of course ships can’t go through the canal unless that side risks breaking Turkey.BH

Just remember that industrial complexes can only be built in territories worth 2 IPCs or more. So one could place a minor IC in Caucasus and/or Persia then on the next round place ships into the Caspian Sea.

Oh yeah Knp. thanks bud!

Krieghund, can you verify these two SZ if sea units can be built in there please?
To be complete looking at the board, this would included the Great Lakes in North America, the two lakes in Africa, the lake above Leningrad.BH

The Caspian Sea is the only unnumbered body of water on the map that is a sea zone.

Okay,
Thanks for clarifying. Good to know for future games.
