Friends - I'm in trouble - and I need your help

––First, let me start out by saying “Unbroken” is NOT a war movie,….at least like you normally think of one.
----It IS a very powerful, inspirational movie that is extremely well done. It also has a enough WW2 action/scenes to be “interesting” to a WW2 buff. The CGI as well as the physical props were well done. I only noticed one inacuracy,…when returning to America at the end of the war there was a transport aircraft that still had the early ww2 red dot in the star and red/white rudder stripes. I guess it might have been possible but I doubt it. Anyway, it was hardly noticable (except to a historian) and didn’t detract from the movie at all. All summed up, a great movie that’s well written, acted, with great cinematography.

----My opinion,…If you want to see a well done INSPIRATIONAL movie set in the WW2 era, this is a GREAT ONE!

Water is the third most important substance for human survival.

Wait…you need water for beer.

Beer is mostly water.  :-)

But based on the survival tips Rule of 3. You get thirty seconds if you’re bleeding, making blood number one. 3 minutes without air making it number two. 3 hours without shelter in a harsh environment no one thing counts as shelter and this is highly dependent on the environment. 3 days without water and depending on the environment that could shorten considerably making water the third most important substance.

I thought that “Quantum of Solace” was remarkably prescient in having the villains trying to control the water supply.

So the first post of the cartoon was just like “huh?”

The discussion of NEDM and burning cats, turns my stomach.

It reminded me of the two Iraqi workers burned to death by a rocket about 20 yards from my workshop in Iraq.

Not a pretty sight.

Nazi intrusions / restrictions on his business opened Oscars eyes a bit more to the Nazi atrocities against the Jews.

He still managed, and he knew he had to keep a friendly face forward so the Army would keep buying his cookware.  But he finally saw enough and was in the end became human.  Keeping his workers alive amid his dwindling resources was his way of taking it to “Der Herr”.

Yeah, the all tanks go on land and all ships go on water come especially handy when you’re too drunk to play. :smile:
