Hockey is back

I know, I hate the Sharks but I had to get my thirst quenched for this great game, I rooted for every other team except Colorado when they came to town.

I was at Game 3 at Joe Louis a couple years back when the Sharks went up 3-0… such a disappointing game. But there was a Sharks fan a couple rows behind us who was kind of passive aggressive. He was gloating profusely after Setoguchi scored in overtime and got beer thrown at him. Served him right.

Not that he seemed to care. He liked the persecution. My satisfaction is that his team is a bunch of aging, underachieving and utterly unappreciated failures, with no franchise history to speak of.

Couldn’t agree more Hoffman, Sharks fans are……hard to communicate with.  I love asking where they keep there Stanley Cup Champion banners everytime I wear my Wings jersey maybe in the basement, I’ve never seen any.

It’s also fun to remind them that Anaheim, Tampa Bay, Carolina(Hartford), Have cups and at least, Ottawa, Florida, have been to the finals…that always makes them mad as well.

Even the Queens have a cup, I have to remind my LA friends that it’s not the Stanley from “Threes’ Company” and talk them out of melting the cup down and turning it into a tanning bed.

Every time Crosby or Malkin’s face comes on the television. Neal showed his true colors in the playoffs last year too… what a dirtbag. To be honest, Malkin is more annoying these days than Crosby is.

And no, before you say it, it isn’t because he won the Hart/Art Ross… it is 40% face 60% punk-ness.

Yes… one time. Very likely again, but that does not matter. It is not jealousy for success; the Red Wings have been the most successful NHL team in the last 20 years. So I have been pretty content.
